What is so great about Ponting??? He was Just Lucky,Right???
by Saaani Mrichie on Nov 29, 2012 08:39 PM

Shame that indian media and some vested interests are doing the sachin-bashing for helping some vested interests! Shame Indians are so good in pulling down their own heroes and legends and a player like Sachin comes only once in 500 years, perhaps???Get some reality checks, folks!Ponting is nobody compared to our legend Sachin for the simple reason that Sachin had to face the fiery bowling of aussies and other countries too and still score 100 centuries! while Ponting or Bradman had the privilege and good lcuk of NOT facing the fiery aussie pace attack and they had the added luxury of facing indian bowlers and score centuries as they want! Further all the umpires were very kind to all white skinned players and very cruel with Sachin and coloured players and so many times Sachin has been given out wrongly ba bad umpiring decisions too! Hope all world and cricket fans will realize now why Sachin is greater than Bradman and Ponting and Others!

Punter...RIP(Retire in Peace)
by Haarika on Nov 29, 2012 11:47 AM

Punter has millions of fans, I've always been one of them. He was indeed the best skipper Australian Cricket Team ever had. A batsman of the calibre of Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara. The world will remember him till the day Cricket exists. RIP(Retire in Peace)

Yes prasad, slave of crooked westerners! What is the Big Deal, folks??? not only sachin, even our sunny, kapil and dravid are 100 times better than
these guys who have become big by playing useless indian pace and spin bowling while indian batsmen had to face fiery aussie bowling and aussie
players of course were lucky not to face the aussie pacers and
spinners!shame so much undue praise is given to non-indian cricketers for the above reason!

Ponting the best
by Sudhakar Muthuknnan on Feb 24, 2012 01:05 AM  | Hide replies

Ponting, Kallis the best i would feel among others. May be next comes Dravid and next could consider Sachin. Only one reason look at where Ponting, Kallis, Dravid scored there runs. In a bouncy seaming wickets, not in dull dead pitches.

Sachin can join Hockey and win Gold Medal in next London Olympics
by Jagdish Reddy on Feb 24, 2012 01:04 AM  | Hide replies

Sachin is really a great athelete and excellent fielder like Johnty Rhodes. If he is willing to play hockey, IHF will select him for the Indian hockey team and he will win the Gold Medal for India in Hockey.
In addition to awarding him Bharat Ratna for cricket as soon as he scores his next hundred, he will also have an Olympic Gold Medal.
Then Soniaji can nominate him as PM as soon as our current PM retires or dies.
That is the only way, Sachin fans will be satisfied.

Can anyone imagine a player:
1.Who led his team to 291 from a position of 99/4 in a world cup final with a classy century
2.Someone who formed a century partnership with a no:11 batsman in an ODI match scoring 90 odd runs in the partnership and remained not out on 189 a then world record
3.Someone who scored a century and too 5 wickets in the same match
4.The one who scored a run a ball century in the 4th innings of a turning track at Feroz shah cotla to lead his team to an uncharacteristic win against India
5.Someone who scored a 56 ball century in a test match which was heading towards a draw but secured win for his team with this unbelievable knock.
He played for West Indies and his name is Viv Richards. All he has done were miracles and all cannot be described here.I believe he is well above all other greats and having a unigue status considering his destructive abilities.

One most important thing - on a few occasions I watched Sir Viv bat, he never used helmet or even a hat. Many times I have also seen him leave all the three stumps exposed to the bowler when going for an intimidating shot. Perhaps the world of cricket never saw a cricketer like him before, never will.

For all that Sachin has done in international cricket, he is just a small kid compared to the King. Thanks Jomesh for compiling those facts. Sir Issac Vivian Alexander Richards will remain the all time greatest. Not one among them. One more thing, he was never a selfish player.

sachin flops continues 5 matches still played inthe team.dravid flops continues 5 matches against aus in 2007 after worldcup then droped selectors in odi format & that time dravid most imp odi player in the team.& same thing ponting also flopped 5 matches then selectors dropped ponting in odi side that to no respect to ponting. ponting is greater then sachin because ponting ara aus won 3 world cups include 2 as a captain.now ponting 37,sachin 39.indian selectors &sachin fans are useless &worst people in the world.

yes dhoni continued in conescutive 12 odis ( 5 in SA 7 in Wcup before final)- still he is continued.
Dhoni failed in 30 conecutive T-20 intml inning with bat ( no match winning inning or mOM or fifty) still continued.
Dhoni continued to fail in 7 consecutive series in test overseas with bat & two consecutive whitewash as captain but he is still continued.
Also two consecutive wcup(T-20) 1st round exit as captain but still continued.
Now if medicore pl;itician like dhoni can continue in team in every format of game with hundred of failures why sachin should be axed for one or 2 series failure?
Dhoni needs to be dropped beforeany one else.

Pontings value to the team is greater than SRT.. int his very series itself he is playd 3 crucial innings.. without him the match wudve turned differentyl.. scoring all runs when the team is 20/4 or 30/3 etc..without him clarke wudnt have scored 300.. lets geive credit where it is due.. SRT requires great start from opener or dravid to steady the innings..he is the sort who plays well when the score is 120/2 not when its 30/3 and putting us in a winning position

what u say mr ramesh applies to medicore player like dhoni & not legend sachin.
Any knowledgable cricket fan knows that all ponting, sachin, dravid etc are world class player while dhoni is simply a medicore player surviving on politics & manipulation
