SACHIN SHOULD RETIRE IMMEDIATELY
by krishnan menon on Feb 22, 2012 07:16 PM  | Hide replies

sachin is a gr8 guy no doubt - but it is definitely time he retired and wallows in his house over a drink, reminiscing about his achievement and adulation of the people. otherwise in a few months he will be the butt of all jokes and a ridicule to the cricketing world. it is time he gracefully retired and hung up his boots.

The most selfish player is your dhoni. He plays slowly and happily gives pressure to youngsters to attack and making them out. Only want to remain not out and keep high avg. will not go for risky shots when it needs.

Very sorry dhoni fans.. I am not a dhoni hater. There is no any other example to define selfish. Anyway I like dhoni too. One of the best finisher in the world ever.

He had 3 Centuries from his last 18 ODI Matches. That means, a century in every 6 ODI matches. There is no any other Indian in present or past to have this ratio.

Making century in every match is like earning your monthly salary on every day. Its almost impossible.

Your Boss dhoni didnt have a century so far in out side asian countries. Use your idea for him to avoid that shame. Sachin had atleast a century in almost every test playing nations.

we are not comparing sachin and dhoni here. so why bring dhoni into picture? and anyway dhoni isnt called the world's greatest batsman. that 'honour' is reserved for tendu and currently he is playing like the world's greatest fartman. century in every 6 matches, highest avg ins ries etc are all numbers and we are not interested in stats here. we all know no matter what, tendu's stats will always be good. but that doesnt mean he has batted well enough. you can hit 4 consecutive zeroes and one hundred so that your avg becomes 20. does that mean you have played decently throughout the series?? sachin's stats are like that. he makes one or two big scores and flops miserably in other games, but still his avg will look alright.

Dear Gowda,
Do you pronounced "Honor"? Cant believe. I thought you people were insulting.

please let me know, Have you ever really checked sachin's stats? If yes, you wouldn't have compared the stats of sehwag with sachin's.

Please dont mix regionalism in cricket, if you are talking about indian team. check the stats clearly.

He has already lost his respect by
continuing the show. Just hanging
around for 100th 100. After world
cup, he should have taken a call
atleast for ODIs.

i have not checked, but virat kohli has definitely scored more runs in the past 1 year (highest run getter in 2011). and also, tendu's innings were played in the subcontinent and under zero pressure and virtually no help in pitches for bowlers. and in the last 2 years, i am sure dhoni has a better avg than sachin even though he comes in at no. 6. i have shown u 2 players who have outplayed tendu

tats what i am talking about. an old aged player like him and the other oldies are stopping all chances of the youngsters of coming into the international arena. also usually selection to indian team is done based on performance of ranji trophy matches and duleepsinghi matches - why is it that even tho rajasthan has won ranji trophy twice, there is no player from rajasthan in the indian team? will the big chori chors of india give us a reply to this?

Gowda,

How you can compare Kohli's Total Runs with sachin's total runs? Where kohli played 65 Matches and sachin 18. Are you a kid to mention that? or you just want to defame sachin?

Anyway, I am not saying kohli is not a good player. I thinks or really feels, kohli is the only yougster from india, who can chase the benchmarks made by sachin.

yes I agree your one point, dhoni had better avg than sachin.

And about Indian Pitches and Batting friendly pitches, If that is a criteria for greatness, Your high avg dhoni didn't have a single century in bowling friendly pitches. So will you say dhoni is a useless player? I dont thinks so. I thinks, he is the best finisher which cricket history ever seen.

Had Bradman scored just 6 runs in test cricket, his average would have been 100.00 in test cricket. But he got out for duck in his last test innings. But he did not stop his annoucment to retire. No one would have questioned why he is retiring. He would have played another test to acheive 100.00 average but he did not do so.But poor sachin! waiting for 100 since last 8 tests and 10 ODI's.Poor chap.that's the difference between sachin and the great Bradman.

Do you know, on which age bradman retired? The same people who praising him was asked to retire on 38 or 39? If your point is ok for you, its ok, sachin can play till his 40. is that ok for you?

Humble request
by Rajendra Bongale on Feb 22, 2012 06:55 PM  | Hide replies

I think India is playing next match against australia. So my sincere and humble request to Australian team. Please dont bowl any bouncers, dont take any catch and dont stop any runs as far as sachin is concerned.let him score the long awaited 100th 100 so that he can retire.Otherwise Indian team has to carry this burdon of honoured player till he scores that 100th 100.Because like Australian selectors,BCCI has no guts to drop sachin.

u r absolutely right. wish BCCI - board of biggest chors of india - fix a match with either nepal, bangla desh or netherlands etc. so that the gr8(sic) sachin gets his 100th century and maybe the absolutely useless bharat ratna and let us ordinary people live in peace.
