Agarkar

People try to criticize Agarkar for his higher Eco rate but if you compare this to every other Indian pacer then you'll find he's way better among many! RP, Pathan, Nehra, Sreesanth, Umesh, Vinay all have higher Eco rate than Agarkar, all are poor fielder and except Pathan, all are poor down order batsmen!
Say, who is better?

Khan & Agarkar
by naveen dhanerwal on Feb 21, 2012 12:33 PM

I won't say Khan isn't a good bowler. Of course he's very good right now. Agarkar was a victim of favoritism. ganguly kept giving Khan chances after poor show in many consecutive series and Agarkar was out in every one bad match!

Last 36 matches he had taken 50 wickets at an avg of 29 and eco rate 4.8.
Last series played; 7 wickets in 5 matches, compare to Zaheer's 4 wickets in 6 matches, RP's 7 wickets in 6 matches! And who lost the place from the team...no need to say...

Agarkar made his debut against australia at age of 17 when azhar was captain of the team.

rediff needs to check stats before uploading plagiarized reports!
