I still remember your commment about Sachin after the 2007 world cup debacle. You said, we dont want to look people who has 15,000 runs or many centuries. we need young blood in one day cricket. But after that world cup sachin hit some of the fabulous innings like 200*, 175 against Aus and 163 against NZ etc etc. After all he is the top scorer for India in the World cup 2011. you really are jealous about sachin.Sachin is far better than you man.You are considered to be a man of critisism. That is why peole are not listening your words.Because of this, you are no where after you hang up your boots. When you coach India it was terrible. When you start ICL , it did't click. My advice you to coach hariyana team.

After WC 2007 Laxman, ganguly, dravid were dropped from ODI.why not sachin?...if dravid place is assured like sachin...he would have done such fabulous innings then n there.accept the fact...sachin is supported by strong Mumbai lobby and his huge sponsors...so he will extend his carrer till 40..by announcing fake injuries and coming back.

Ya right. Sachin has strong lobby to support which other good crickets like Dravid and Lax didnt get.
I would even go little further that lobby is now even favouring players like Zaheer, harbajan, Yuvraj, Rohit sharma.
Let the dooms day come for the lobbist. Let cricket survive not the lobbiest. Curse on them,
Sachin was no doubt a great player. He is a legend and legends' best place is in books. With age his reflexes have slowed down which is natural and does not make him a lesser batsman. On finding it difficult to negotiate the South African wickets Sachin had wisely returned mid-tour. He should have never gone to England or Australia. In sub-continental conditions he is still good enough to get one more hundred. After that he should peacefully retire. Kapil has no right to sermonise Sachin. Everyone knows what game Anil Kumble had to devise to get Kapil his record breaking wicket. Kapil's criticism of Dhoni for not bowling Jadeja again is dishonest. No captain woth his salt would have risked bowling a slow left ar leg spinners against ramapaging left handers like Warren and Mike Hussey.

@Rotation Policy ============= Rotation policy will help the most for PACE BOWLERS
observe world cricket - Pace bowlers (Brett lee ,Mitchell Johnson etc ) all have injuries at some point of time in their career
So is Zaheer Khan ,Pakistani bowlers like Shoab Akhtar
so Rotation policy will help - if we could create two or three more Zaheers or umesh yadavs and keep them in reserves
if some Zaheer or Umesh Yadav is tired ,we could rotate with the reserves --- Batsmen in comparision are less likely to be Injury prone ,but more likely to be OUT OF FORM at times
Take Shehwag Gambhir Sachin
I do not think any of the above are OUT OF FORM while sachin apart ,Gambhir has shown definetly discomfort against Short pitched bowling and Out swing bowling on a bouncy Track
while Shehwag seems to get out quickly with same bowling in recent test series
Sachin is capable of playing front foot cover shots ,but seems to rely on SQUARE OF THE WICKET shots and that has restricted his scoring
so issue for INDIAN BATSMEN is --- SWING plus PACE on a Bouncy track
so instead of tackling the above ,I find surprising MS DHONI started to focus only on fielding
Recent ODI at GABA is a classic replay of TEST SERIES
HILFENHAUS bowling,Starc etc bowled similar to TEST MATCHES knowing well INDIAN batsmen are vulnerable to SWING plus PACE and pitched up(BOUNCY TRACK)
SO whole TEST SERIES proved SWING plus PACE ,pitched up at 140 mph plus speed on a
Re: @Bouncy track vs Rotation policy vs Fielding
by rama anne on Feb 21, 2012 07:09 AM
bouncy track is proving FATAL to indian batsmen --- the games that INDIA won are at ADELAIDE where conditions are similar to somewhat Indian tracks
But as CB TRI SERIES moves forward ,AUSSIES will make sure of the wickets and make sure the bowling is just like TEST SERIES (in 50 overs too)
so MS DHONI should marshal his troops that means - seniors ,others all as a UNIT
I do not think focusing on FIELDING and Rotation policy will make the difference
better to find ways to deal with SWING plus PACE bowling
I believe rest of the matches are at Hobart and Sydney
@Kapil Devji ======= please allow atleast The TRI SERIES to finish ,there are a couple of MATCHES more to go
as far as MS DHONI statement is concerned ------
FIELDING ====== THERE used to be ROBIN SINGH (Indian heritage from west Indies) ,who migrated to CHENNAI to play for INDIA QUESTIONS ------ HE is a very GOOD FIELDER and useful Batsman at 5 OR 6th position ,But he was on ,off and also wait for a long time to get into the TEAM
why ??? ===== Sachin ,Ghambhir and Shehwag ----- All the above are BATSMAN who play in top three positions especially OPENING AND 1ST position
so question is ?
is a good score as an OPENER important ? or FIELDING ?
As far as I know ,Shehwag is a good fieldsman ,he has taken some GOOD catches ,so is SACHIN as well
Iam puzzled ,FIELDING is important ,but how important ? will it replace a sound and solid Batsman ? I do not think so ?
Let us say some Youngsters are sharp and good fielders (take Exception VIRAT KOHLI) ,how many runs will those youngsters score ?
why did INDIA lose to Australia ? Bouncy pitch ,Swing bowling or lack of fielding ?
Re: @Fielding - How important is it ?
by rama anne on Feb 21, 2012 06:27 AM
that India lost the BRISBANE ODI as well as TEST SERIES ---- So Dhoni should introspect
Aussies realised that India has scored 10 points on Batsmen friendly wickets
so they reverted to SWING AND BOUNCE at Gabba
Just like TEST SERIES ,again Indian batsmen failed to score this time which proves - SWING PLUS BOUNCE is proving FATAL to Indian Batting ?
--- so TEAM THINK Tank --- what are the options to score --- Front foot plus Back foot combination of Foot work?
Square of the wicket (Sachin is trying this option)
step front and smash the ball over COVERS that is pitched outside off stump length(Sachin is capable of playing the COVER shots ?)
VIRAT KOHLI is capable of stepping Forward and take on the BOWLING ?
WHAT about DHONI - he is playing all backfoot shots and placing ball (for singles and twos ) and occasional 4s and 6s ?
so which Indian batsmen will step forward ,view the ball and hit straight over the bowlers head or play COVER shots ?
We still have people like you who can call a spade a spade. Unfortunately that is the reason you are suffering. Even cricketing fans lack appreciation to you let alone gratitude for your service to nation.
All, insider report said that Tendya finally decided to break his protocol of not scoring well till he gets occasion to score hundred. It seems that he decided to score 90 runs and get out in todays match. But, he still wants to defer hundred to an occasion.

Basically,he decided not go into shell and make a good contribution of 90 odd runs
Re: Re: Breaking news: Insiders report from Australia

But, he still bent on handing over his wicket to Maharoof/Malinga as he already handed over his wicket to kulashekara, mathews
Please forgive me for what I am writing against you. - It's very easy to advise others and what Kapil paaji did in his last phase of career as he dragged very long to break record of Richard Hadlee. (434 wickets). Kapil, if you had said that I dont want Sachin to make same mistake what I did then your comments would have welcomed.

Dont compare Kapil and Tendulkar.
Kapil is a tall figure (pun intentional). He had redifined cricket in India and his contribution to the nation is very high. Tendulkar is merely selfish.

I agree that Kapil Dev by and large played cricket for the country while a lot of others played for themselves. But, Kapil did hang around for too long when he should have quit.

Anil Kumble was gentleman. Lots of respect for that guy. ANd he should have stayed in the team if he wanted to but he called it a day and his legacy lives on.
Sachin is really hurting his legacy by refusing to retire. Hope he will not be remebered as someone who had to be forced out of the team rather then someone who was the best player in cricket..

If only Krish Srikkanth and the other selectors have the guts and vision of their Australian counterparts.... Our grandpas aren't matured enough to stay aside and give way for youngsters on their own. We can only pray, selectors have the guts to tell them "enough is enough! we had enough of u and thanks for what you did!"

Anil Kumble was a gentleman, yes. But, did you all see the way he fielded to his own bowling and the way he fielded otherwise ??? Also, the way he ran between the wickets when he had hit the ball and the way he ran when he was at the non-strikers end ???? Any views ???
Pontings 2 yr was going in poor form avg 28.88 Sachin has just one bad series in ODI (still not finished) but still managed avg 44 ,and 2 test series in last 2 yr. (as per his own set standards)...how can we compare..Anyway if we add Aussi stickyard to our selection , then I dont think we will ever select 11 consistent player.

I mean just one bad series in ODI in 2 yr but 2 yr avg is 44 in ODI...and 2 bad series in test in last 2 yr as per his own std.

ok, but look at how Sachin is playing the game now days? He is picking and choosing the series at his leisure. He would have passed this Aussie series as well if he had scored his ton during the test series.
