Penalty on Dhoni and teammates
by vaman jani on Feb 19, 2012 08:14 PM  | Hide replies

With experience to his credit and knowing the fact that he is playing with medium pacers, Dhoni should have been more cautious about the over rate. Teammates are unnecessarily penalised due to Dhonis recurrent errors. He perhaps believes in charity to ICC or that he takes things for granted. Well done and keep it up! Vaman Jani

Sangakkara, Jaywardene and Ponting are not members of Team India. They actually help Team India with their poor performance. Then why should we care about them?

by sunil vaidya on Feb 19, 2012 08:00 PM  | Hide replies

bowlers are at fault for giving sachin such tough target when he has time and again said he wants targets between 180-240 and not between 280-320

it is all aussie plan to demoralise sachin by not taking decision to field thus allowing sachin to bat first on this pitch...

vaidya,
u r right sachin fails whn target is 240plus thats why he failed scoring 175vs aus whn target ws 351bt ur godfather succeeded in that match by scoring 6runs on 15balls.

dhoni also fails to score even whn target is 240thats why thatpoorcudnt score even a sigle ton in 7years overseas after playing more thn 100innings.

BTW everytime u write 180-240and280-320,perhaps who dnt know figure between 240n280, really feel sad for ur maths teacher, hope u wud hv reached school in ur life n if nt mukund wud hv taught u numbering 35 years back. isnt it ? :)

who hv been bashin sachin for a long time by writing that he wl score 100 vs bangladesh, ok, if he ds that we wl see hw many others (remaining 6 specialist batsman) wl score century in that match ?

in history of 135 years of cricket no one reached 99 centuries, only ONE INDIAN - SACHIN REACHED THERE, in coming 135 years no one wl reach there, ONLY ONE INDIAN wl remain there, - SACHIN TENDULKAR.

now porkIE$ in disguise of Indians may cm n criticize my comments :)

sonu is another fan gone mad by his G ---0---D's repeated failures. if any intl cricketer is allowed to play cricket for 22 years & still not dropped for a string of poor performances he will not score 99 100s , he will score 150 100s. mr sonu alias fake indian. u shuld be ashamed of urself. UR also a porki who can not accept a genuine criticism.

Why not ban for slow batting rate as well?
by Mullah Naseeruddin on Feb 19, 2012 07:51 PM  | Hide replies

Dhoni these days seem shovelling rather than batting. He deserves a 2 match ban just for that.

ICC
by solid singh on Feb 19, 2012 07:28 PM  | Hide replies

Finally ICC is convinced that Sachin’s greatness deserves the recognition as the best batsman in the world & a very special consideration.

As a very special gesture , it has been made mandatory that whenever Sachin is on strike, there will only one stump , bowlers will not be allowed to send bouncers , Yorkers or swinging deliveries. Also there will no slip fielders. Further it will be left to the Greatest himself to declare himself out as & when he wants during the innings in tests ,odi , t20.

The above rule comes into effect immediately & will remain applicable as long as Sachin is able to hold the bat.

If you permit me, I will add some more mandatory ICC rules whenever the legend makes appearance with bat in the field.

1. Whenever the cricket ball happens to caress the lone stump, the bowler should not utter 'howazzat' and look at the umpire. Sachin, in turn, will appreciate the bowler and will encourage him with a pat on the back, and the bowling will resume again.

2. Whenever any fielder happens to hold any aerial ball from Sachin's bat will be rewarded with an appreciative nod from Sachin with a clap and the legend will resume his innings.

3. Both the umpires will stand at square-leg position in reverence to the legend's batting. They are paid to applaud every attempt that the legend makes to negotiate the ball.
