Best finisher
by Sunil Kumar on Feb 18, 2012 06:20 AM  | Hide replies

Best finisher of TEST matches and finisher of other players' career, Mr. Dhoni, what did you learn from yesterday's match? Did you not feel that you need to become a batsman now instead of your jumping jack play and did you not feel that a game needs to be finished as soon as possible to better the records for the nation?

Dhoni watch out. Sri Lanka is dangerous after the tie with India win against Australia with bonus point needs to be taken as seriously as Australia.

yes sunil , matches should be finished as early as possible with the aim to save the time only- win or loss is just incidental.

and had it not been for the great contribution from the greatest , india would have lost the match even in 51st over. Unnecessary dragged the match.

This is called a great win

A win is called great win when someone beats others with stamped authority. Don't know when India will learn to win matches with such stamped authority.

They had 41 overs and they should have taken it to the 41st over. What's the sense of winning it in 24th over? Srilankan players can't handle pressure. They're very Mr.UnCools.

What did they get in return? A Bonus Point? And look what Dhoni got- Media is competing to put him next to the best things ever happened to the world..

As an indian fan, i am so glad ponting is still around. He is bad omen for australia, only warne mcgrath and gilly could reverse his bad influence.
As soon sa he becomes captain look what happened, sri lanka got a bonus point. I hope australia make him captain one more time

Dhoni is the best finisher of the game for India... and,I mean it
by K Ram on Feb 17, 2012 10:25 PM  | Hide replies

As someone has put up somewhere in a blog, Mr. MSD would have dragged even this match until 50th over had it happened Vs India to prove he's the best finisher. How else can one justify his running out Gambhir who looked good for a century and making a mess of such an easy equation like making 59 runs of 58 balls with good amount of back up yet available. He was content remaining not out for the sake of bettering his batting average and expecting poor tail enders to accomplish the task and perish in the process. Utter selfishness to the core... Mr. Dhoni is better advised to realise, cricket is a team game and is not an individual show off event.

Why are we still persisting with failures? Discard them please.
by K Ram on Feb 17, 2012 10:05 PM  | Hide replies

Waste Fellows in this team whose poor performance is covered up under some better performance of others :
1. Ravi Jadeja : 58 runsfrom 4 matches at an average of 19 and 1 wkt @ 190 runs with an economy of 6 R.P.O
2. S.K. Raina : 74 runs @ 18.5
3. R.G. Sharma : 79 runs from 4 matches @ 19 runs average
4. V. Sehwag : 30 from 2 @ 15
5. SRT : 65 from 3 @ 21.6
6. Praveen Kumar : No wickets yet

Why are we still playing these people in spite of their repeated failures? Haven't we learnt any lesson from the test matches? What are we doing with the Tiwary's, Rahanes and Pathans? Wake up selectors and the team management! Dump and discard the non performers please....
