IPL - A brand no more
by sukhmeet singh on Feb 16, 2012 01:20 PM

IPL is no more a brand, its brand value is declining evry year what with so many controversies and sponsors like sahara pulling out. It is a matter of a few more seasons now.

Greed
by raj s on Feb 16, 2012 12:02 PM  | Hide replies

The IPL format is driven by greed and has put off avid cricket lovers from the game. Cricket has been reduced to a circus and if IPL is not banned soon, it will do more harm than good.

IPL was going great during modi era, after that it started declining majorly due to overflow of money and petty politics by b.cc.i

Doomed
by Rahul Agnihotri on Feb 16, 2012 06:44 AM

I think the format is doomed in the very near future considering the viewer ratings and all the controversies surrounding it. Good for other sports if the upcoming hockey league and football league succeed at least somewhat.

Not only watch in person but watch TV also. If all of us do this, we can kick them where it hurts.

It is sad that a good brand was created but it went into the hands of unworthy people that has led to its present state.
