Dilip Mahanty
BCCI
by Dilip Mahanty on Feb 15, 2012 02:05 PM

When N Srinivasan declared that there was no post mortem planned for India's disastrous showing in Tests against England and Australia it shows how much BCCI cares about Test cricket and India's reputation. All it cares about is 20-20s and the amount of money this abbreviated form brings. The bigwigs of this body consist of political heavyweights like Sharad Pawar, Rajeev Shukla, Jaitley who do not want any transparency as it suits them to be secretive about BCCI's finances and what benefits they are deriving from their involvement . Ambitious people like N Srinivasan like to play along so that they do not miss out. This then is the true face of cricket administration in India. Moneymaking is it's sole purpose -cricket and the country be damned! Glad Sahara is taking a tough stand. If other sponsors join hands with Sahara and challenge the authority of BCCI it will help the game in India. If IPl 5 is not a money spinner and owners lose money it will make BCCI rethink about the game and do something to arrest it's decline.

it is pity that yuvraj is ill and sahara and BCCI r fighting over the replacement of yuvraj as if yuvraj is paid slave of sahara and BCCI sold yuvraj to sahara at throw away price?

that's too bad, u can't commercialize so much which hurts sentiment of a star, they should bear in mind that because of these cricketers, the controling body exists
