It may be that the board decided to not replace Dhoni because of his superior record. There are things Dhoni is doing though that appears to us as something like he seems to have lost it.
He decided to bowl in a Test as a wicket-keeper and he is not sure if he will play in the 2015 WC does not augur well with the public.
Here are some of the issues that may require a correction :
Dhoni has been making errors that need correction
1. The late declarations in the NZ test series 2. Giving Praveen K the new ball for 69 ODIs 3. Piyush Chawla in the WC as untested player 4. Preference for slower bowlers 5. Preferences for too much line and length 6. Defensive waiting game in matches 7. Defensive field placements 8. Too many singles in ODIs 9. The current fiasco of waiting till the end 10. Bowling in a Test match as a WK 11. Rumors about his rift with Seniors 12. Not available for 2015 WC
This seems like going back to the controversy Ganguly was involved with and it would be just better to remain focused rather than controversies.
For the people complaining that he is justifying something, he is not saying he loves to finish it only in 50th. What he is saying is, if he can he will do it earlier, but it conditions don't help, he is not going to rush into a premeditated - i have to finish it in 48 overs - strategy. He is ready to fight it out till the last ball. That is how i understood it. Pl do feel free to point out if i got it wrong.
He should be selected if there is a match between india and the following countries on flat wickets(indian conditions). 0.Afganistan(top of the list) 1. canada 2. netherlands 3. kenya 4. UAE 5. tobaco(some island in Caribbean) 4. zimbabwe he should be rested if playing with 1. Australia 2. South Africa 3. Pakistan 4. England 5. west Indies 6. Srilanka.
The order should be in same fashion when selecting him, high preference should be given to him in the above order.
Important Note : conditions: the bowler should not be allowed to bowl outswingers & short pitched stuff(else the umpire should declare no ball) there should be no slip fielders while he is taking strike.

hahaha i missed you... what did your sachin do in the match between india and srilanka , got out pathetically caught at slips on a flat wicket which is not seeming. I have already told you on that day itself , he will not score more than 20 runs.

He says he wants to rotate openers : sehwag, gambhir and tendulkar. And the reason he says is he wants to give newer players a taste of australian conditions. if he is rotating between the three and not dropping them, how does his argument hold logic!!!
