He could have finished it wrong way

He could have finished it wrong way if he had made hurriedly. Gauti thinjs he is international class with just two half centuries for win in Aus Eng or SA

by MONICA on Feb 15, 2012 09:48 AM

yes, india cud win this match rather tie, its total 4 umpere fault, may be intentionally or unintentionally but where is the use of technology! they counted 30th over wrongly for 5balls , not 6!
with 1ball addition, india cud win this match, when only 1 run was needed!

i am surprised, that here this big news not published !

1. Yes Ganbhir is right. However Gambhir cab say now because he scored in last two matches. Otherwise was failed totally.
2. On other side why Dhoni is streching the game till last ball is still surprising. Irfan was out due to him.

I agree very much with you. He also got Irfan Pathan out with his foolish running for a run that was not actually there. If Pathan had stayed, he would have finished the game with one over to spare. Dhoni had actually made India lose many a matches by taking India from a comfortable winning position to losing the game because of his foolish batting with very low scoring when he is required to hit the ball hard.

I thought Gambhir was referring to that particular game

Gambhir, just link millions others including Ian Chappell, were confused with the way Dhoni played in that ODI against Aussies.

Dhoni was scoring average two runs per over, around 35% strike rate. And that too asking rate from comfortable 5.75 to 13 in last over.

If Dhoni had atleast rotated the strike, India would have won it way too easily. Sixers can't be hit at at will and Dhoni was lucky to score that six and eventual victory..

Dhoni the great finisher he is, but he is twisting facts here. Gambhir was right on with his observation..
