look at performance of ponting in the series and then look at dhoni. Can ponting ever match a great like dhoni, answer is never. So why not they make some good captain than a recovering alcoholic who may retire any match just continuing as a favor from cricket australia

Dhoni also won the inaugural T-20 world cup - that makes 2 world cups. Dhoni shud concentrate only on ODIs and retire from test cricket. Virat Kohli can be tried as Test Captain and Dhoni to take care of ODIs. Dhoni's test record is not that great, but there is no match for him in ODIs. Superb.
Mike hussey or bret lee now give chance to become captain.
