when Kapil devji coached Indian team ,it is true that they lost test series in Australia
if we purely base on WINNING VS LOSSES we must admit that until 2003 and 2008 series ,previous occassions ,even when MD AZHARUDDIN was captain and has had Ravi Shahstri etc in team ,still India lost TEST SERIES IN AUSTRALIA
why we lose overseas ,especially to AUSTRALIA is due to varied reasons --- i)Batsmen unable to adjust to bouncy pitches ii)For a very long time since Tiger patuadi ,we rely on SPIN BOWLING strength so not many fast bowlers have come into the scene iii)Only when Suarav Gangulay ,Anil Kumble etc were in the team and last toured Australia ,we saw likes of Irfan Pathan ,Sreesanth,Ishanth etc come onto the scene and saw some good TEST SERIES - 2003 and 2008
if we were to repeat 2003 and 2008 series
i)Select lanky ,well built rural youth in hinterlands of India ii)allow them to access Criket academies or sports inst with SCHOLARSHIP to back it up iii)I also believe while RAW SPEED is important overseas ,I belive even with 135 - 140 mph speed ,Bowling can be made tighter if Indian bowlers bowl at STUMP HEIGHT and pitch on and off stump or on and off LEG STUMP iv)have adequate reserve bowlers strength and apply ROTATION POLICY to the bowlers to keep them injury free
I do not feel BATSMEN need rest that often ,I feel BOWLERS need more rest and ROTATION POLICY can save them ,with a reserved battery of bowlers -------- Also I live in Australi

On Field and Off Field Aust vs India issues ------------- Recently India vs Aust on field and off field controversies are plenty
besides that I have personal experiences myself in australia and also know Indian students atacked as per media and other sources here in australia
That is why I feel ,it is not right time to have an aussie coach with Indian team
I feel we have available Indian Ex Cricketers like Kapil Devji Ravi Shahstriji(I know he is spinner but still can coach bowling) and others like Karsan Gavri etc
Until ,we smoothen relation with AUSTRLIA ,it is not a good idea to appoint Coaches to vital positions as Indian team
Dear Fellow Indians and all cricket related people in India -------- i)Given the rivalary between Austrlia and India is it not a conflict of interest to appoint an aussie as the bowling coach ?
ii)I feel fundamental problems exist in India ,as to why we have no effective Fast bowlers ,I believe SPEED IS KING ,BUT CONSISTENCY IN LINE AND LENGTH even better given the above
iii)Can we not appoint an Indian Ex Cricketer like Kapil Devji
I feel even at 136-140 MPH speed ,Indian bowlers can be made effective if they pitch up at stump height and bowl on and off stump or on and off LEG STUMP
I feel just hiring a FOREIGN Coach WILL not change the Fundamentals ,perhaps they might assist in strategy
Iam deeply disappointed in BCCI ,that no EX INDIAN CRICKETERS are considered for roles like BOWLING COACH

Kapil Devji did coach Indian team and results are their for all to see. One should know if he follows cricket. But I don't think you do..
By the way their is nothing to puzzle about. The newcomer Aussies trashed India's fame batting. But likes of Ishant with all the experience, failed to even come close to it. And same happened in England, WI..
I mean a bowler with almost 50tests experience.. What's so puzzling about it?

could very well be. When you have deadhead like Ishant Sharma in the team, any bowling coach will fail. That goof is just not learning anything and he had already played almost 50 tests.

ISHANT SHARMA bowled well last series in Austrlia This series ,he bowled well but not much luck ,may be aussied did a study and figured him out --- ISHANT SHARMA cannot be just like that termed as a bad bowler due to one series
are you after him for revenge ? or other motives ?

No revenge and no motive here? Look at his stats. Unlucky can be for 1 inning or may be 1 entire test but not a dozen test on trot.
This is good move by BCCI, Eric didn't really developed the pacers into good finished product. He failed to deal with talents of Ishanth, Sreesanth...none of the Indian players credited Eric for the bowling...he didn't do apt job with bowlers during ENG N OZ tour...even batsmen failed but bowlers were too have to take blame..
