remove viru once for all
by veerapuram dharan on Feb 13, 2012 04:50 PM

viru is a kind of player whose scoring range is either a 0 or 200..the more he grows in age, the more he likes to bang the ball from his crease as the bodily condition wont allow to stretch his footwork. and in the absence of this, he doesnt even know to score runs like dravid..am afraid hes past his prime..its good for him and the team if he retires immediately..even the great richards had retired by the time he crossed 8000 runs...

lengthy ODI series
by veerapuram dharan on Feb 13, 2012 04:45 PM

y always the ODI series in aus is always lengthy? 4 matches for each team is ok..but 8-10 league matches is a waste of time..

although i support the youngsters just from the other side if you look - the dravids the sachin when the come to bat we feel they are going to score a century or atleast a half century but with the liks of raina and others that cannot be said - felding lapse - the seniors mae up with their batting- same cannot be true riht now though

Sehwag is 33 and has been playing international cricket for over 12 years;

Gambhir is 30 and has been in international cricket for 9 years;

Dhoni is also 30 and has been in international cricket for over 7 years.

These players are not 'ancient' like Sachin, Dravid, Laxman...but to call them as new generation players is a joke! By any standards, a player with 7 years experience has to be called a senior.

If Dhoni is from new generation, then which generation do Kohli, Ashwin, Ishant, Umesh Yadav belong to?

Well..India won against Sri-lanka as wel and it had ur 'senior' Sachin Tendulkar. so to say tht 'india back to winning ways with seniors no longer there..." is absurd

Only in India one finds no respect for Seniors when the team fails. By this yardstick, aussies should bay for the blood of Ponting, Brett Lee, Hussey etc; but they are not ?

Australia is a sporting nation where there are opportunities for budding sportsmen, apart from cricket they have world famous hockey players, tennis players, atheletics, swimmers, hockey players, football players, in short in every field there are excellent players unlike India which is cricket crazy..in short we can't match them in any field..

BM, if seniors like dravid, laxman, sachin dont retire then kohli ashwin, ishant, yadav belong to ''lost generation players''...

and if greg chappell had not been our coach then ganguly, laxman, sachin, dravid, kumble etc. would have played T20 Wc, 2011 WC, would still be playing and in that case dhoni, gambhir, kohli, raina, ashwin etc. would have been ''unheard of generation players''....

BTW, BM since dhoni, gambhir, sehwag etc. are seniors according to you, you must be very pleased that they are still playing and must be hoping that they will play for many more years to come given that you are against removal of senior players...

and any suggestion that these senior players (dhoni, gambhir, sehwag) be removed must make you really angry...
