All those who are jealous of Sachin's success are requested to read the article 'Seniors vs juniors: The spurious debate' by Santosh Desai in TOI of 13th Feb 2012. The extracts from the said article are as under:
"1.The so-called youngsters are anything but; when measured in terms of matches played and the number of opportunities received to play in the last few seasons. For instance, Raina has 137 caps, Kohli has 76, and Rohit Sharma has 74. In the same ball park are ‘youngsters’ like Kevin Pietersen (123), Hashim Amla (54), Dale Steyn (60) and Jonathan Trott (40). Now it is difficult to imagine these names being referred to as ‘juniors’ by any stretch of imagination.
2.Nor is it true that in recent times, the older players have denied the juniors enough opportunity to play. Over the 2010 and 2011 seasons, Raina has played 53 games, Kohli 59 and Sharma 31 — contrast this with the seniors — Sachin with 13 games, Sehwag 24 and Gambhir 33. In terms of performance, most have done well; Sachin with an average of close to 55 tops the charts, and most of the others hover around the 45 mark, with Raina the only straggler at about 34.
3.If the batsmen under discussion included people like Manoj Tewari or Rahane, the question of giving the younger players more opportunity might have come into play, but not when we talk of Messrs. Raina, Sharma & Kohli. Quite simply, there is little to choose between the players going by recent form, and
It's good that Indian selectors have started rotation policy. Though it should not be limited to just opening batsmen. It should include bowlers as well as other batsmen so that young players get chance to show their talent and learn from the experience of playing cricket against tough teams. This will help domestic cricket also. Sachin, Dravid, Laxman, Zaheer, Harbhajan, Sehwag hardly played any domestic cricket in last few years. So it's good to give chances to likes of Rohit Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Rahul Sharma, Manoj Tewary. Without giving chances to these players we are not going to find replacement for Sachin, Sehwag, Zaheer etc. Rotation policy will also reduce player fatigue especially when they have to play in IPL in hot weather. Selectors should also think of rotating the captaincy. It must be tough for Dhoni to maintain focus on and off the field with so many matches being played. In addition to national team he has to captain CSK also. Selectors should take care that he does not burnout and remains fresh for important matches.

dropping tendulkar against australia proved beneficial because we managed to beat them which we never did earlier when he was in the team
Common dhoni bashers ..look at this guy hitting the six. He's just to Good player in the shorter form.. And a good wicket keeper in the tests. What's all the issue about now?

Yes he is a good player in the shorter form and that's all he should play. People are bashing him fo his inept performace for a while in Test cricket. His wicket keeping in Test is average to say the least..

Well he didn't have to hit six and let the game almost slip away if he had scored bit fatser earlier in the inning. He was batting at almost 50% strike rate and that took the game to last over..
Get real before getting all emotional and soughting rear out..

Yes we did look at the winning shot. And it could have easily be hit in 47th or 48th over. Thanx to Dhoni that game had to go on to 50th over and we almost lost it..
And just because of Dhoni, other had to sacrifice ther wicket in order to score rapidly..

Pathan is outdated player & not suitable for one day. He was giving enough chance in the past & dropped from team due to bad performance. Our ex cricketer nonsense demanding his inclusion, it will not be possible for Dhoni to include him in the team. Youngster are doing well & we will win todays match by dropping Sachin. Look forward, forget old players record.

Vinay Kumar has bowled in 140kph in this ODI series. And Pathan is still in mid 120kph. Look at the domestic matches tat Pathan has played this year. He is slow Medium pacers and will get hammered in Aussi..

dhoni the most useless player team hs ever seen oversees. even bowlers bat better thn him. he is in team jst bcz of captaincy, the day captaincy wl go, dhoni wl be kicked out in next series. useless fellow always bats in asia.Dhoni n bowlers batting average outside subcontinent In WI 2006, 24, kumble 26.6 In AUS 2007, 17.62, kumble 30, harbhajan 23 In WI 2011, 19.4, harbhajan 24.5 In Aus 2012, 20 , ashwin 32.6
EVEN BOWLERS HAVE PERFORMED BETTER THAN USELESS DHONI. NO CENTURY IN 7 YEARS OVERSEES AFTER PLAYING MORE THAN 100 INNINGS.
