Contd... May I also remind you of the grievous knee injury you suffered when the insufferable Greg Chappell was India team's coach? It was only because of the negligence of the coach and trainer that you and your team mates started playing kho kho with cricket boots on. That incident continues to shock me even today. Greg Chappell also brought one Charles Krebs, a practitioner of a particular form of quack medicine (''applied kinesiology'', ''cranio-sacral therapy'', etc.). BCCI never bothered to verify the antecedents of Greg Chappell's team members. I feel dedicated cricketers like you should assert yourselves and make BCCI come to its senses. Take care of yourself. and CHEERS.
Dear Yuvraj, I wish you a speedy and complete recovery. At the same time, I am extremely concerned at the fact that you have been putting faith in ayurvedic treatment, and, CONSEQUENTLY, delayed diagnosis and proper treatment. It is extremely dangerous to put one's trust in ''alternative'' or ''complementary medicine'' like ayurveda, unani, homoeopathy, acupuncture, and so on. I remember that your virtual brother Sreesanth was also trying ayurveda for treating his injuries, and, some years ago, Tendulkar was contemplating ''acupuncture'' for his elbow problem. Fortunately, better sense prevailed in the case of Tendulkar. The root cause of the problem is GOVERNMENT's PROMOTION of and propaganda for these USELESS THERAPIES. The only persons allowed to practice medicine and call themselves ''doctors'' should be those qualified in what is popularly known as allopathy. As far as your physio ''Dr'' Choudhury is concerned, please understand that he is only a glorified masseur. He should not give himself the title of ''Dr.'' or give advice on medical matters. Please take note that he is certainly not an oncologist, and knows nothing about cancer. Even on other health matters, you should put yourself under the care of a regular physician/ surgeon, preferably one who has specialized in sports medicine, orthopaedics, etc. [contd...]

While every body sympathizes for cancer patients the hype is only because yuvraj is a special somebody and not a nobody like you.

Every Indian is as important as Yuvraj Singh so his statement hold value. It's right that he is a celebrity so he is getting more attention and he deserve it too.

There is an important factor involved here. Diagnosis and treatment of Yuvraj's tumour was DELAYED because he was misled into taking ayurvedic treatment, possibly by his "physio" who is posing as a doctor. It is for celebrities like Yuvraj to recognize the dangers of such quackery and campaign against it. His words will have more impact than that of physicians and scientists, even great ones.
