Sponsoring Football or Hockey in India is a mistake.
by Jagdish Reddy on Feb 08, 2012 12:47 AM

The reason is simple. Indian average height is getting smaller every year. The average height in most countries in western hemishere as well as even the Eastern countries are getting better.
For example, the average height of Japanese increased more than 5 inches in just 2 generations after they adopted to American system of providing breakfast and lunch in their schools after the second world war. Indian growth is gettnig shunted in these two generations.
To compete with rest of the world, we need to change the calorific value of food intake from childhood. More proteins are reqired for proper growth of children.
If I am a rich billionaire, that is what I will strive to do. Our politicians are least bothered about it. A shame!!

Sahara sponsorship
by natarajan iyer on Feb 07, 2012 07:49 PM

In sports ,thre are sponsors like Herocorp ,Bharati etc who have a wll identified business and hence are in a position to earn and spend on sponsorships ,ads etc .
Can anyone tell ,what is the identifiable business of Sahara that they are in a position to spend such amounts year after year ? Or is it a money laundering business of politicos ?

This was a plan by Sahara to get rid of Indian team sponsorship
by Incredible India on Feb 07, 2012 07:02 PM  | Hide replies

... I am sure they will continue to be in IPL;
If they could have suddenly backed out from Indian team there would have been a lot of criticism for the Indian team adding the performance in Australia and England;
