No, he is above BCCI, above everyone for his fanatics! G-0-d!!
His 2 runs made India very proud. He had CLASS when he scored 2 runs, he was in-form, etc.
According to his fanatics, Rahul Sharma should be dropped because he scored less than Sachin!

Ya Mani, some great fanatic even went on to say "What did Dhyan Chand do for hockey? It is still in a pathetic condition". Poor guys have forgotten that he played his last match when India got independence :)
But very true, satisfaction what we got from those 2 runs is enough for 1 more decade :)

No doubt Bharat Ratna will be awarded to him in the coming years. The rules were changed for him. If given now there will be huge outcry. Its a pity that over rated people are given awards.

Bronze Money:

So now you've realized that even league matches are pressure matches? :)

After 2003 World Cup finals and 2011 World Cup victory, weren't you preaching that league matches are inconsequential and no pressure? :)

Youth alone can't help....experience counts too...
by Junior Shelly on Feb 06, 2012 09:38 AM

When we look into the reasons for the reasonably good performances by the Indian cricket team in away matches (tests especially), we could see the heavy contributions from the above 30 players. Sachin, Rahul, VVS and Sourav were around 33-34 years old at that time, and had played more than 100 or close to 100 test matches. They were at the heights of their prowess and that helped the team to win more matches abroad. They had seen it all.
But this time around, those greats have become too old especially for Australian conditions and for such high quality sustained pace bowling. Add to it the inexperience of the 'legends in the making' and ineffective captaincy, the recipe for disaster is ready.

rohit and sehwag have no equation. the equation should be between top order Gambhir, sehwag and tendulkar. we can allow tendulkar only one try . replace gambhir by sehwag.
india spin centric attack is good, only good quality spin can give india an edge. dont go by videsh pumped media.
All we need is good pacers to take advantage of pressure from spin, yadav or zaheer can be considered. vinay can be tried again. gambhir needs to be rested and sehwag be bought in.

Statements from Dhoni:
1. "Irfan is a part of the side, but he has just come in".
2. "Our loose deliveries were too loose".

Message to selectors, Dhoni & team:
1. With each team playing 4 matches in the league, u would want to have a good start. Why would u start with resting ur 2 main bowlers who have done well (Zaheer & Yadav). One could be rested......
2. Someone with common sense wouldnt be playing 2 "fast" bowlers & 6 spinners (including part-timers) in Aussie pitches, specially Melbourne.
3. When u have won the toss (which is quite rare nowadays), u had a good option of batting first knowing how our batsmen r not in good form, and playing with only 2 pace bowlers......
4. When the going was a cakewalk, Dhoni was "promoted" up the order with an excuse that he came to avoid a mini-collapse since Rohit was dismissed for a duck. Why did he not come at 1-down?

To fish out reason for defeat after every defeat which has become a routine and the team fining it difficult to give reason every time .Also to write how they are going to play the game and win before the match - it is becoming to monotonus all the time reading the statements from the captainand players .Slaary will depend upon how much corrupt you are !

sky is the limit; cant take it anymore

Any Indian, who loves cricket will hit peak frustration and anger, viewing the recent performance of India in Australian tour. The only word best describing the situation would be “pathetic”. Always acceptable when we fight and loose, but this is clear nonsense. It’s clearly understood from body language of players, that players have no discipline or commitment to the game. Whether they play or not; win or loose; they get their money.
Earlier, cricket used to be passion for all players; but now its only for money, fame and luxurious living.
We ourselves are to blame; not just players.
IPL is one of the reason; has to be banned for a while; players get a fortune from this entertainment game.
Match fee not to be paid to players, if they loose. At least, we can hope this can drive them to some extent to play for country
Or we just have to quit following cricket

I would have to say the body language has to do something with the way they were coached as well. They looked completely different when Kirsten was a Coach if I'm right...
