Grieg's important conrtribution to English Cricket was to inject much needed confidence and aggression into the seven-day-a-week passive psyche of the professional English cricketeer. This was even more visible when he was the captain. Perhaps, his South African origins helped. This aggression was most needed and felt against Audtralia, when he took on the sledging-based Aussie cricket strategy led by the Ian Chappell-Lillee-Marsh troika.
Dumboo..British and Australians acknowledge talents..We have seen arrogant Australians gave standing ovation for only foreign player and that is Sachin Tendulkar...

Ha haa..What did you called it when sachin enters on the field and peoples stands and clap for him...m0r0n...he got standing ovation before playing a single ball..
I never seen his batting clips any time. But I heared his commentory during sharjaha cup when sachin had made two wonderful innings against australiya which matches no indian can forget with his exiting commentory.
His insightful, witty and at times, sardonic commentary; especially in tandem with Bill Lawry will be missed. The Voice is Dead but the Words will ring forever.
