Beyond 6.3 or 6.4 feet, no one can bowl fast. The physique is simply not suited for pace bowling. They can generate a good bounce though.

TomPakistanHarry, I guess even Morkel is the same height as Ishant Sharma. But he has a good physique unlike this skeleton-man

yes you r right, there are many young bowlers are waiting in india who can bowl 145 speed, so selectors, pls wake up and select some younger bowlers, not always ishant, balaji or praveen kumar
He must strengthen his back, neck and spine to continue playing cricket at the highest level. ANd he must do this with seated or prone exercises only else he will hurt his knees.
At his height, he can bowl at 135 kmph even at the age of 50 as long as he keeps fit. Bruce Reid tried bowling too fast without muscle development and paid the price.

No one can bowl fast after reaching a height of 6.4 or 6.5 feet. It is literally impossible.
Among the West Indian bowlers, the shortest among them MalcolmMarshall was the fastest bowler even though giraffes like JoelGarner and MichaelHolding were there.
Ideal height for a fast bowler is between 6 to 6.3 feet.

He does not need to bowl fast, just medium pace with bounce off a good length is enough to get wickets.
