this could be Mumbai's last match in Ranji
by Girish Kamath on Dec 27, 2012 02:53 PM

and what if Sachin fails? He may have to announce his retirement from test cricket on the morning of selection committee meeting?

Waste of opportunity by SRT

It was ideal way for SRT to get in to form by playing in Ranji matches. He would have been better prepared before the upcoming Australia tour. Waste of opportunity

rght..even without sachin Mumbai looks formidable..with the likes of sir ajit agarkar, zaheer, wasim, nayar, abdulla..sachins absence will be hardly noticed..but ofcours he will lose some valuble batting experience..

was scraed of another failure in Ranji Match. Would have put selectors in an embrasing position for selection against australia tests

Whats the big deal ?
by Jaguar on Dec 27, 2012 05:18 AM

SRT rarely plays Ranji matches.. and he's been skipping ODIs on a regular basis since 2011 WC win.. so,does it really make any difference at all?

He needs rest

He is in top form. And after scoring thousands of runs over the last year and playing long innings, he deserve some well earned rest.

No insult intended in my mesage. Just think about it.. Sachin needs to regain his form and only way he can do it is by playing in domestic matches. Now is the opportunity for him to play and regain form and his confidence for the Australia tour..

What's wrond in that?

if you skip national league when you are out of form that is doom for your international career... shame on those who want to perform at international level but are not delivering due to being out of form.
