Losing Cause
by sharath nb on Dec 24, 2012 05:34 AM  | Hide replies

Did anyone notice? Kohli scored a hundred & India lost a match against England & Australia. So can we conclude that when ever Kohli scores a century, India loses. I want to know how sachin's critics answer this. By the way, I mean no disrespect to Kohli, he's a good player.

So lets say he scores 10 centuries in the next 2 or 3 years & India loses 5 of them, draws 1 & loses 4. Will people conclude that when ever he scores century, India loses. No! because people very well know its a team effort & how the bowlers contribute in a test match especially.
But with Sachin, I don't know somehow all the logic goes away. People never give stat, never look at other people's contribution, but bluntly conclude that whenever he scores century, India loses.

Re: The shameless person will not retire from Test cricket

Yes. We will have to bear the shameless Kohli and Pujara. Scoring shameless runs when we are losing. I ask you.

by Manoj poojary on Dec 23, 2012 09:58 PM

for him as this will give him some chance of playing his 200th test match in africa.it wud be a gamble for him to play the pak n eng odis as if he dont perform he wud have been dropped for the australia test match.so its a right decision.

200 Tests
by RAMAKRISHNAN IYER on Dec 23, 2012 09:51 PM

A solid performance in South Africa will be the best way to call it a day as without him Team India stands no chance against the world's best side. Sachin should enjoy his batting as Azhar did in his last few tests...Good luck, Sachin...
