200 Tests
by RAMAKRISHNAN IYER on Dec 23, 2012 09:51 PM

A solid performance in South Africa will be the best way to call it a day as without him Team India stands no chance against the world's best side. Sachin should enjoy his batting as Azhar did in his last few tests...Good luck, Sachin...

I think He should have played against Pakistan & England before retiring, with all the honors.

Sachin Should had played the one day series too against England and Pakistan and get retired by all formats of cricket. He should had atleast get a last chance to appear in the ODI's.Test matches are almost over for him by looking at the way he performed against England.

A decision taken under pressure!

Perhaps, looking at his poor form against eng, he was not selected for the ODI's against pak. That triggered him to retire.

Ghalib:

:-).., perhaps Dravid and Laxman were also kicked out due to their pathetic performance. Perhaps every cricketer who retired was poor performer due to your perhaps low IQ. :-)

pseudo, it is not nauseating to watch Pujara batting as it is to see Sachin struggling miserably.

Yes, but it was a newspaper report which gives out news like "reliable sources said", or "his close friend said".

Exception not necessary as he has already completed his 100th 100.
200th is too far.

MHS:

Yes. Your strategy is good. Dhoni will like it when he retires but is allowed by you to play against Bangladesh. ;-)
