GAvaskar himself was one of India's worst captains.He used to play for draw even when we could win.It changed only after Kapil came on the scene.As for Srikant, the less said, the better. He hardly has made good scores- getting out in 20s and 30s most of the times. Has no century against his name inm internationals. what right he has to talk about calibre?
All those asking for Dhoni's head must introspect themselves.Just because he has had a bad series they ask him to go. What about SRT? He has had 3 bad series now incl.overseas.Dont they have guts to ask him to go? favoritism of worst order.
well, I find Gavaskar and Srikanth views very funny and emotive. Well we lost badly in Australia and England, what Did srikanth Did , he didnt have a courage to add or subtract any members in the team... We are going through Transiition phase in Indian team , we will loose few series lets accept. We never had a very strong Bowling attack . Rather than focusing in captains ,we should reflect and change our short comings .,,, as of Now kohli and gambhir, we all knw how they have played in the test series accept one inninings they have all shown flaws.. dhoni is a wicket keeper and not a batsman... I guess thats the greatest success of Dhoni that people expect a wicket keeper to pkat like a batsman..which is funny...( in other countries except SA and Eng) wicket keepers r just assumed to play one or two innings in a while.. its time we Indians start thinking rationally and not emotionally.....

Yes Dhoni should be replaced as the new captain in Test Cricket. But his successor should be Gautam Gambhir and not Virat Kohli. But Dhoni deserves a place in the team as an important No.6 Batsman, and the wicket-keeping should be done by some one younger. Dhoni is required as a middle order batsman as he can hold the lower order together as there will be quite a few younsters in the top and middle order. Sachin should also retire. Mahendra Singh Dhoni should now be replaced as the Test Captain. Team India lost 4-0 in England last year,lost 4-0 in Australia earlier this year, under his captaincy....but he was still persisted with by the selectors and the BCCI that the team had fitness issues,some key players were injured and not in form...but now Team India has lost a Test series at home against England,and now Dhoni can't be defended anymore...as his uninspiring captaincy has beeen seen in this series by one and all. But saying this the team in itself needs a revamp and some freshness in it. The time has now come for even THE GREAT Sachin Tendulkar to take a call on his career and announce his retirement with grace and dignity, or the selectors should be brave enough to drop him. Another senior player who deserves to be dropped is Virendra Sehwag, as he is now past his prime and too inconsistent. Virat Kohli though one of the bright young stars of Indian Cricket,still deosnot deserve to be made captain, as he is brash,impulsive and still new to international cricket.Virat should be made Vice Captain and be groomed for captaincy in the future.Gautam Gambhir should be made the new Test Captain of Team India, as he is a senior player,has good experience and is the right age to be a captain. Yes Gambhir too has been inconsistent,but he is a quality player, a good opener and has shown signs of getting into form in the last 3 Tests.
Bad or lean patch do happen in everyone’s career . No need retire . Same team should continue barring minor changes . Any major changes will result in even bigger losses . Whom will U select ?? Are any great players sitting outside ?? We’ve to manage the show with same lot . Kohli played very good since last one year but failed badly in this series that too at home . But scored brilliant century in last test . Should he retire ?? But he’s still bit immature for captainship with only 2-3 years of international exposure . After brief failure , MSD played a match saving innings . Should he resign as captain ?? Taking retirement / resigning is surrending in cowardness . Player should have courage to overcome failure & bounce back strongly .

suprabhatbahen, kemcho? what you said is valid for 1 series, at the max 2 series. But this is the 3rd series it is happening.
