Ignore when accusations are made and wait for appropriate time to answer . The fact with in a day or even less if you start defending - the case is closed .

is dhoni good enough for tests?
by Sunil Vaidya on Dec 12, 2012 05:49 PM  | Hide replies

in last 2 years 2011 and 2012 dhoni has played 19 tests 33 innings 4 not out 859 runs 29.62 average 144 highest 100s-1 50s-7 batting position 7

in last 2 years 2011 and 2012 gambhir has played 16 tests 29 innings 0 not out 907 runs 31.27 average 93 highest 100s-0 50s-7 batting position opener

in last 2 years 2011 and 2012 sehwag has played 15 tests 28 innings 0 not out 889 runs 31.75 average 117 highest 100s-1 50s-5 batting position opener

in last 2 years 2011 and 2012 kohli has played 13 tests 24 innings 2 not out 788 runs 35.81 average 116 highest 100s-2 50s-5

tell me what is the difference between sehwag gambhir kohli and dhoni that mohinder is making such a big noise about?

the stats above clearly expose mohinder. he wants like any regional selector to have players from his region in the team and in important positions. he wants players like sehwag, gambhir, kohli and mishra in the team and as captains or vice captains if he can manage that.
according to him dhoni has no technique etc. to play in test cricket...mohinder if that is so then how do you explain that he has matched your favourite quality test players like sehwag gambhir kohli in stats...that too coming so low down the order...
mohinder you say dhoni is protected by higher ups...so you want to protect your favorites sehwag, gambhir and kohli? If dhoni is not qualified/equipped to play tests even as a player if one goes by the figures of last 2 years then are the players that you are backing qualified?

Statistics do not tell every thing friend .so if you look at Ashwin he has perhaps better statistics than any one of the above - will you drop a batsman then ? The fact the captain does not show confidence and is not performing or able to get best out of the team - there one goes .

Test Captaincy Material
by ravikant rao on Dec 12, 2012 04:09 PM  | Hide replies

I agree with Mohinder who has over a period of time mastered test as well as ODI batsmanship to be known as one of the best batsmen against fast and spin bowlers regardless of pitch nature.Even the great Sunny Gavaskar has doffed his hat to Amarnath's batting abilities. In the same vein, he was regarded as an astute reader of the game on the field.Definitely, Dhoni based on his test batting abilities and keeping abilities would not find a place in the Test team.

My simple question to Mr Mohinder Amarnath was why didn't he resign ,when he did not get what he wanted then definitely there would be alot of credibility in words !!!

The point if if Dhoni is kicked out who will be the captain. Ultimately the quality of players cropping up in India is pretty bad. The main reason for this is IPL. They are worried only about money and T 20 does not need technique..

Selectors are independant
by satishgs on Dec 12, 2012 03:40 PM

True only allowed to keep feelings inside the heart and mind not to open the mouth, so much independence is given to Selectors. No one should have the right to oppose few biased members who are like duds in the Cricket management board.

yes True to a great extent all selector can choose and also to choose to remain silent.

GOOD JOKE
by madanmohan siddhanthi on Dec 12, 2012 03:36 PM

Way back in TQM days - there was a lot of discussions on empowering .there was a complaint from junior level saying that they were not allowed to take any decision. Finally it was decided that junior are allowed to take decisions in future only condition is they should check with VP before that .
