Brian Lara scored 501 on June 6, 1994 playing for Warwickshire against Durham (Both English County cricket teams). That is the record for highest first class score in an innings.
Nowhere is it mentioned in this article that Bradman's record was later broken by a Pakistan Batsman by scoring 499 runs . I forgot the name of the batsman. Anyone...... with the answer ???? ( For my benefit and for the benefit of others ! ) May the GREAT Nimbalkar's soul rest in peace !!

That was Hanif Mohammed, but he is not the highest first class run scorer for a single innings.
it is really sad that the batsman of bradman calibre even existed. shame on bcci that this greaat batsman couldnt play tests. he would have made so many records that the so called mumai bradman couldnt even dream to reach them. RIP

Oh! Really. Thanks Mohan for sharing an Indian Secret. Kathiawar you unwanted son of India.
Our generation and the technology missed Nimbalkar Ji's action moments. RIP Nimbalkar Sir.
When Sir Don Bradman sent a personal note to Nimbalkar saying that he considered the Indian's innings better than his own, then why should we post any comment? Only SALUTE to him on behalf of all the Cricket Lovers.
Rahul Dravid recent statement is absolutely right........ nowdays the whole Indian team find it diffucult to break Mr Nimablkar's record on not out 443 .... Rest in Peace ... Sir.
