why so called marketing heros sachin T and Sehwag are ,also virat, gambhir not warned, how much selection comittee takes bribes under table from them to keep them in team for non responsibility, pessimist attitude, also dhoni must improve his performance and explain how Tendu and sehwag are biggest libility on him ,forced by media, jornalist and selction comitee,so dhoni cant chqange his winning fromulas?Dhoni and our coach??? must sack tendu and sehwag to discipline all heavyweight players behaving shamwlessly evn with poor performance, shwemeless people are alwys happy with their endorsements.

Sir Jadeja

I think the pressure on Sir is very less as nobody is giving him a chance. But he might turn out to be the dark horse!!!

make Ashwin cuptaan!
by neeraj singh on Dec 10, 2012 06:31 AM  | Hide replies

Ashwin have the correct head over his shoulder to lead a Test team like the one India have. The team needs a transition from T20 mind set to a Dravid mindset, not stupidly aggressive. We need someone who believes that the DRAW matches does exists in Test cricket. We need someone who can make the team realize the hopelessness of a situation and get themselves prepare for the immense responsibilities which comes before any of your personal morale boosting attitudes (Like Shewag eg.,)
With Dhoni, his method of keeping the team morale is like facing his back on a speeding truck and making himself (read team) believe that it is just a Bad dream.
That can work in some format where the overs are very limited that the game will get over before the truck ran past you.

So, lets have reality check with the squad:
Mahendra Singh Dhoni [ Images ] (capt), - See above
Virender Sehwag - He is THE HERO of Dhoni's Theory. And very complacent.
Gautam Gambhir - He will be like "Sachin - the Captain", except for the fact that he is 20% of "Sachin the player"
Sachin Tendulkar - "Been there, Worst in that",
Virat Kohli - One from the Dhoni Club -
Cheteshwar Pujara - Good Test captain material but lacks the application that Ashwin have in tough situation.
Ravindra Jadeja - To be seen but a very hopeful aspect

R Ashwin - The Cuptaan!!! Not just that he scored in the 3rd match, but the way he try to delay the situation and also not trying to risk his wicket tells all. It was worth noticing the way he tried to convince Ojha and command the procedure. Knowing that Ojha is a compititor and is also trying to prove himself for a place. It was not a "Srinath - Kumble" partnership where both are secured in the team and "The Team" priority comes in even before we have the slightest doubt. But "ashwin-ojha" case was different. Ojha will never like the idea to take a run in the last ball to give Ashwin the strike, meaning the TEAM have less faith in Ojha's batting ability. Also, Ojha and Ashwin both knows the hopelessness of the situation and Ojha could easily take his chances and impress the selectors. Well, I wonder what went into their discussion but it looked as if Ashwin have the natural leadership quality and convincing power.
Piyush Chawla - We have seen enough of Piyush and he is just a temporary in the team. Can you ever think of Agarkar as Captain. He is like that.

Ishant Sharma - No brainer. The long locks sucked the last protein in his brain. I guess, we need atleast some to function the brain.(??!!)
Ajinkya Rahane - Let him concentrate in his batting skills. A good 3 down material.
Ashok Dinda - I do not beleive in fast bowlers. Its like imagining Sohaib Akhtar to be the Captain. Why not, btw!?
M Vijay - Again a good very good player, Test match material and a dependable Opener.
Parvinder Awana - Who is this guy? Refer "ashok dinda".

Comment!

It would be a tragedy to see Kohli or Pujara fall to T20 shots. Playing test is not just shooting from the hip!!

After Gambhir's coach gave him instruction on the angular bat, he seems to have improved.

But I am surprised why the coach needs to go via the media to make his student understand :)

Such an advice
by Jay on Dec 09, 2012 04:09 PM

can backfire.. If he watches those ODIs, he will be all pumped up and try to play ODI way! He was not trying to play aggressively in this series, to blame it on ODI/T20. I think the captain never had a game plan to play session by session, he just advised everyone to just play his natural game, that is what I understand!
