Asswin is the 1st Indian bowler to concede 175 runs or more in a Test innings. Eden Gardens has been the hunting pitch for Indian spinners where Bedi, Chandra, Prasanna, Kumble, and Bhajji ruled and made many a teams surrender to Indian spin.
Asswin is a dismal failure and does not deserve to be in the team. If he can't take wickets on doctored spin pitches than where can he take wickets? In this series alone, Asswin has given 541 runs for paltry 7 wickets. Indian commentators keep praising Asswin and blaming the flat pitches. Wait till Monty and Swann bowl at the Indian batsmen. Dhoni also keeps yelling from behind the stumps, "Bowling .... Asswin". Really?
The two regular Indian spinners bowled 102 overs, gave away 323 runs, and took just 4 wickets. That is just pathetic and deserve spanking.
