Even Kohli deserves a good farewell. All good players deserve it as a matter of fact.

never say anything about Sachin retiring...ever again! Just remember this. Infact I am thinking abt requesting Dravid, Laxman and Kumble to come out and play again.

Before he became special,Sachin was one of 11 players selected to play on basis of his form and he retained his position based on his form. Sentiments apart, why talk of any other thing. The question to ask is what was his contribution when India wins, not when India loses. Because in a team sport loss cannot be because of one player, but one man surely can contribute to a team's win.

But can banning cricket or any other game for that matter solve India's problems. Can you guide us as to how a sport can affect a nation's economy. If not cricket, there will be some other sport.

tomorrow if hockey becomes popular and people start watching it like cricket, will you say the same thing. Your foolish filthy brain will have to understand no sports is compulsory to watch ,at least in our country. Take a hike, give your ischemic brain some much required oxygen you fool. Sports is best way to get that.

Dear MS, you really need to borrow some brain or get advice from some wise person before showing your ignorance here. Hockey/ Football mataches don't last for more than 2 hours where as Cricket match goes up to 5 full day w/o result.

You are one of the worst Guy, i have seen in this Forum. You makes your own stats. There is no issue to hate or criticize sachin.. But You should have to mention right stats when you says, 'Truth Hurts'.

In ODIs, He Had Total 8 Centuries in those Countries (Aus, SA, ENG). And Total 3995 Runs.

Shame isi agents and paid agents in indian media and some vested interests are doing the sachin-bashing for helping some vested interests! Shame Indians are so good in pulling down their own heroes and legends and a player like Sachin comes only once in 500 years, perhaps???Get some reality checks, folks!Ponting is nobody compared to our legend Sachin for the simple reason that Sachin had to face the fiery bowling of aussies and other countries too and still score 100 centuries! while Ponting or Bradman had the privilege and good lcuk of NOT facing the fiery aussie pace attack and they had the added luxury of facing indian bowlers and score centuries as they want! Further all the umpires were very kind to all white skinned players and very cruel with Sachin and coloured players and so many times Sachin has been given out wrongly ba bad umpiring decisions too! Hope all world and cricket fans will realize now why Sachin is greater than Bradman and Ponting and Others!

Don't compare Bradman with Sachin. If go on records sachin stats are just average. Also Sachin had played in the easiest era of cricket, batsman favoring rules, bouncers and field restriction, which he utilised better than any other. All time best test batsman is none other than Sunil Gavaskar. If similar kind of bowling had been faced by tendulkar I don't hink he would have avereged more than 40.

sachin is a national property
by rajoo iyer on Dec 06, 2012 07:30 PM

Sachin declared 'i am an indian first - then only a mumbaite' that defied the sentiment of militant shiv sena also. Sachin is a unifying factor and draws huge crowd not only in Indian cities even abroad. He is a national property and anyone criticise him should be booked under the law that's applicable to defaming national property.

Tendulaakr will give fitting reply about retirement with loads of runs and tell off the media & public at large that he will only retire on his own terms and when he has recorded 110 centuries and 20k runs and that would mean another 200 million dollars in revenue..

gambhir - test cricket to t20 specialist - last 2 innings 2 fifties - trying hard to play the long innings
sehwag - what a body what a physique!
sachin - age spares no one
yuvraj - how many more chances?
kohli - can he play spin at all?
dhoni - any other country would have given him the axe
zaheer - on his last legs
ishant - the once great hope now bowls at speeds slower than zaheer
ashwin - at first it appeared that the camera was recording at higher speed but then the others on the field were moving faster - can never shake off the sloth

and BCCI - the only vision that it has is 20/20
