Lara's 400 resulted in a draw. Coz his "double/triple handed" bowlers didn't take wickets... ;-)

YES...400... OUT OF 750 HE SCORED MORE THAN 50% TO ENSURE HIS TEAM WILL NOT HAVE TO PLAY SECOND INNING...IN FACT THEY FORCED FOLLOW ON BUT WINDIES POOR FIELDING IN 2ND INNING (DROPPED 5 CATCHES) RESULTED IN DRAW..AT LEAST HIS MASTER PIECE WAS SOLE REASON THEY AVOID WHITE WASH..UNLIKE TENDUA....AND DONT COMPARE LARA WITH ANY ONE.

y must be biggest chu'tya & fan of politicain dhoni who doesn't desrve even a place in team but just surviving by politics/maipulation.
All sachin haters are by default dhoni fans as they believe in polics/manipulation/medicrocy like their idol dhoni.
Sachin has 70 MOM in ODI(world record)in 400 odd matches.
Even fool knows MOM is given if you have played match winning inning or atleat best inning of match.
He has world record of maximum oversaes century in test.(in fact more than 50% of his centuries are overseas while dhoni has none).
World cup 2003 & 2011 where india did well - he was higest scorer of tournament including highest run getter in Q/F & S/F.
In most of india famout test matches wins he is the main reason along with laxman & kumble.
Only triangular series India won in Aus - sachin again was highest scorer & MOM in both finals.
He has record of max MOS in test also. Who can forget his batting in sharjah, Final over bolwing in Hero cup , Test win against Eng scoring century in 4th inning, Destrioying warne & making win agaisnt aus in test & no. goes on.
Let dhoni political fans bark but it doesn't cut stature of sachin.
Fact is he is one of the best along with lara, ponting, kallis & laxman. While dhoni is a club dlevel player who will not find place in any of SA/Aus club team

We cricket fraternity still dont understand why in the world
by cc man on Dec 06, 2012 06:08 AM

We cricket fraternity still dont understand why in the world, Tendya gets into defensive shell suddenly especially when they are 16 overs to finish the day. If the arguement is to keep wickets till the next day, whats the guarantee that he wont lose his wicket next day morning.

I think its high time for every cricketer to stop thinking negatively and play every ball on merit at that current moment and play to natural strengths instead of thinking future problems and going on defensive.

90% of the reasons attributed to Sachin downfall has been such thinking to get into defensive mode suddenly.

Its high time he plays naturally and attacks the bowlers just like he attacked in domestic cricket till late

very well said, prodosh tendulkar is a fair weather batsmen and made nearly all his 100s in easy conditions, no pressure, easy target, flat track good foundation etc.

very very very few times he has scored 100s when there was huge pressure, or when target was difficult or when early wickets had fallen or pitch aiding bowlers...

these sachin fans dont understand that sachin has very few 100s like say those made by dravid, laxman, sanga, cook, pieteresen, kallis, amla, etc. when under pressure...

Vaidya, It looks like u r a beginner. Sachin has highest number of runs against Australia and maximum in their conditions. Is this an easyn condition ? Are world cups played in no pressure situations where he is the highest run getter with best average? You really need to check your brain and stats. And by the way, there is no single match in international cricket where there is no pressure otherwise every player would have got stats equal to Sachin. But no one has that, not even near that. So, stay cool and keep working for your livelihood.

When India won only triangular series in Aus- he was MOM & highest scoerer in both finals.
When India reached final oof 2003 wcup in SA. he was hishest scorer of tournament & won 3 MOM.
In sharjah & Hero cup final he single handed won the match.
Now check of dhoni performance overseas & you will feel ashamed if you are one of his fan

Disagree.... I am a fan of his, but dont like to see him continue if he cannot dominate attacks. 1 innings cannot decide anything. The last innings he dominated was the 146 against SA in SA. If he cannot play that way, it should be curtains.

@Matte that is the biggest problem of this nation.. he made 76 @ the age of 39 with no good form when the young chaps failed but this nation still criticize the champ and the reason behind it is that he made so many runs and 100's that everytime he plays our nation expects a 100 from him, even 99 is failure.. i pity sachin that he has to play with more mental pressure of this nation than the pressure of bowlers or opposition.. though i agree it is time for retirement but would luv to watch him for some more years especially in test cricket

Prakash, you got it wrong buddy. I dont expect a century. All I want is a dominating Sachin Tendulkar and not a struggling person. If he scores 40~50 odd runs dominating the attack, thats enough on most of the occasions so that other batsmen can also gain some confidence from him.

well, Tendulkar struggled and somehow managed to score 76.. other indian batsmen other than Gambhir were flops. But point of the matter is Tendulkar is pushing 40 and couple of more low scores would raise the voices of his retirement again.. he should just call it a day after the Ind-Aus series.. with 198 test matches to his credit.

His inability to play a meaningful inning is most disheartening for his fans.He left the ship to sink when his staying power was in demand. You can't get out after taking a start at his level which has happened now for last two yrs in England & now in Eden.Australia & NZ was a no show for him.He can continue to play for his own sake but his ability to win test matches for team is gone for good

Ind-Aus series? why you want to take him that far? You know how much we Indians are fond of numbers. (remember the 100th 100 mania)?? They will start saying "He should play 200 tests"... and this will never end. Its time for him to gracefully go or axe him.
