Dhoni Sir--> ODI of the year Ashwin--> deserved emerging player because if you see he score century in West Indies match much more than Sachin or Dhoni Sir or Laxman or Dravid. Also he take 5 wicket in same match. Award people cheating.

You are wrong, Badrinath should be best ODI batsman, A-NIRODH Srikant should be best T20 player, Balaji should be best emerging talent, Murali Vijay should be people's choice..... Correct?
I guess from the performances on variety of pitches, Hashim Amla deserves to be nominated the ICC player of the year. He has scored in India continent, in South Aftrica and in England. A class player indeed and in my mind he was the best in 2011 and continuing to be the best in 2012 as well. If there was a similar award for ODIs alone, then Kohli deserves to get that but not for all formats.

Can he do that at least NOW as a patriotic duty for the nation???Who cares for Boring and Poverty-producing and useless TEST CRICKET and Long duration ranji&duleep trophy cricket,etc??? Dhoni and others (Except Virat Kohli, to some extents) are the group of Indian Heijrah cricketers whose manhood instrument stands up only when they play in home soil. Go out and the instrument id down to ZERO ... They are not heros like Sachin, Laxman, Dravid, Ganguly etc who gave a new height to Indian cricket. Why to bother about these bunch of useless ? These are money earners in the name of cricket but surely they are not cricketers.

the new heights heroes like sachin dravid laxman gave in eng and aus will never be surpassed!
similarly ganguly gave a new height to indian cricket many times like when he lead india to so many finals and winning very few of them and that too when the bunch of useless cricketers of today were not there and he had in his team the likes sahcin dravid laxman ganguly himself kumble bhajii srinath etc...

on the other hand useless new age players have given trophies like T20 WC where the heroes like laxman dravid sachin ganguly kumble etc. were not there...they have also given cb series in aus where we defeated aus no. 1 odi side in their own home where also legends like ganguly dravid laxman kumble were not there these young useless moneychasers have also give us odi WC where also the greats like ganguly lamxan dravid kumble etc. were not there....
That's it? just 10 comments MSD and Kohli collects in almost a quarter day? Too bad, looks like young team supporting people don't like to praise 'guys which belongs to young brigade' too much hah?
I wonder how many comments we would have had here if this article had Title "Sachin missed nomination for ODI cricketer of the year". :)

He is one player who is not selfish. Say for e.g., you are moving from organisation to another organisation at a senior level and you have an opportunity to bring somebody who can work under you to meet your requirements and you want to bring somebody who is very good at it. Tell me you would forward his CV to HR and try to bring him in or you would leave it to HR to go through the routine!!! This applies to Dhoni too....if he knows somebody from his state or from his IPL team who has potential and brings him into the national side, we should respect his views and give them a chance. Moreover there were and are occasions where players recommend somebody from their state say Sachin was backing Kambli and sidelined Ganguly, now Ganguly supports Dinda, similarly Dhoni supports Raina (IPL team mate though not from his state). Also i find there are haters for Srikanth when he picks one bowler or batsman from south, why can\'t he? he knows players from southern states. Going by ho-haa of Mumbai cricketers he had given ample opportunites to Mr.Rohit Sharma - did he perform or live up to everybody\'s expecations? No. for those who are not aware the selectors in BCCI is formed by 2 of them for each zone and their head is Mr.Srikanth. So Srikanth or Dhoni cannot bring their brothers, cousins or relatives to the indian side....
