In fact this victory is more creditable than senior team WC victory . Winning WC on bouncy & swinging tracks of AUS & defeating AUS on their own grounds is more difficult than winning on Indian wickets . Now we're world champions in both stages . Seniors & U 19 . May become T20 champs next month .

I totally agree, there are way too many chinks in the senior team's armor, this was pretty evident on the last 2 tours of England and Australia , they were just out of sorts on all departments , this all became more frustrating as those two tours cost us more than what it would have been , in the form of two of our most dedicated and best players in Dravid and Laxman.
The Colts have done a remarkable job indeed and winning the world cup in Australia is the achievement par excellence in my opinion. hats off to the lads and hope that they can infuse that much needed resilience and application in the senior team when they graduate to that level.

Even in the photo's they have pushed him on the side. but quite a few players who made no contribution towards any victory in the tornament are hogging the limelight. Harmeet, even sandeep sharma contributed big time he too is missing from the pics.

Uncle, wait till they play 1 season of IPL. Even then if they continue winning, they are true cricketers. Else, they can approach Dhonibhai or Sachinbhai or Cementvasan or flukeSrikant.

Actually if you go to cricinfo the avg speed of umesh is 144 and above. If you check the spped guns of the recent england SA matches morkel and style have clocked an avg of 138 but they alwyas list the whites as fast and list our bowlers as medium. There seems to be some sort of conspiracy to convince us that we cant produce fast bowlers. even Ishant and Aaron bowl an avg of 144 and above they are rated even worse.
The pakistani team is the most talented team in the world. Everyone agress to it. Indians just get lucky more. If pakistan play India they would beat them 99 times out of 100. Insha allah in the coming t20 WC Pakistan would beat India with a difference of more than 100 runs. Aaameen ... masha allah..

I think the PAK team has not defeated an Indian team in any of the WC mathches in the Sr category. Also pl remember the WC was played world over

Looks like aparajit who played a heavy hand in this victory is missing in these pics. One thing about people from the south regardless of their contribution they are very unassuming and humble in victory.

Aparajit was one of the sortlisted players for the man of the series. He is a true all rounder and a future prospect for India. Hats off to Aparajit. Congrats
