let us forget cricket
by sivanantham on Aug 26, 2012 08:01 PM  | Hide replies

Nowadays younger generation in Aus, NZ, SA, ENG etc., are not giving importance to the laziest and junk game cricket. Only 4 asian countries are playing cricket craziest way. Due to this India could win the world cup U-19 regularly.
Now our cricketers are giving more importance to IPL rather than playing for India. They play IPL with all sorts of injury. But they skip matches for India. Hence, only our people have to forget the laziest cricket which kills our development in each and every other games.
Let us rise our voice continuously against junk and laziest cricket. Jaihind

Correct comment, Now anna hazare &team&all patriots MUST fight to Ban Useless Test Cricket! Can he do that at least NOW as a patriotic duty for the nation???Who cares for Boring and Poverty-producing and useless TEST CRICKET and Long duration ranji&duleep trophy cricket, etc??? THIS GAME OF CRICKET WAS INTRODUCED BY CROOKED AND WICKED BRITISHERS LIKE MAKING AND MARKETING OF MAHATMA AND non-violence dirty trick to make all majority hindus mmorrns and ennuchs and cowards forever and the past 64 years shows that the crooked britishers were successful to make us a BANANA REPUBLIC of majority morrons with their dirty games, we must BAN Test Cricket forever and WE must shout that we will not allow Boring and Poverty-producing and useless TEST CRICKET to make us poorer any more. One day cricket or t20 or t30 cricket ONLY must be allowed and THEY MUST BE ALLOWED TO BE PLAYED ONLY ON WEEK-ENDS OR HOLIDAYS so that we do not lose millions of working hours of men and women and youth any more and we do not remain poor forever due to useless and time-wasting and Boring TEST Cricket too. All patrrioti c citizens and sponsors MUST BOYCOT TEST Cricket and ranji and dulepp trophy cricket FORVER if they love the nation and want the nation to be super power in next 20 or 25 years too!

You are spot on ! I agree with you.

Young generation of all countries are focusing on fast ,less time consuming and olympic games. It is shocking that our entire generation is busy with one colonial game which is still played by our colonial masters and their ex colonies which are mostly third world countries now.

This victory is a matter of concern...

Money from scams are diverted to IPL clubs and into match fixing while millions in the country are deprived of their daily needs.Cricket has engulfed our conscience, administration, media and the entire gamut like a lethal drug addiction..

Mao Zedong banned cricket as for him cricket was opium and war against addiction of cricket was like the opium war.Today China is at the top of the world of sports.

British Prime minister before olympics had said to his countryman, get rid of bollywood dance and focus on olympic sports. When will our prime minister say, please get rid of time wasting british colonial game ?

Have we seen any game played by pot_bellied sportsman except cricket ?

Indians play cricket not just because it was introduced by British Rulers but because the game suits their physical conditions. Over 2000 years back we were taught not to fight wars and not to harm other living organisms. You might see the funny religion of Jainism who dont even wear clothes as it will harm some lives. Buddha and Ashoka have taught us not to disire anything as desire is the root cause of human sufferings. So Power competitiveness and disire to win have disappeared from Indians' genes. Suddenly if you ask them to fight against more powerful people how can they do it?
Whereas the Whites do not follow the teachings of Jesus who asked us to show the other cheek when one slaps one cheek. They follow eye for eye policy like Jews against palestinians and Americans against Iraqis and Afgans. Revenge and competitiveness is in their blood.
Due to their economic progress they can afford to eat healthy food which poverty stricken Indians can not.So they dont have power or stamina to compete with them.
So a lazy game like cricket suits them best where physical power and stamina are not required/ You can party with girls previous night with drinks and can play cricket next morning.

Till Ashoka embraced Buddhism, India was a force to reckon with. But after he embraced Buddhism and non-violence, India broke into pieces. It was conquered time and again by Sultans, Mughals and Europeans (English,Dutch, Portguese) etc.

Yes, I think you're right.Cricket is not recognised as a real sport in the international level, hence so less number of nations play it.Indian public is fooling themselves. At the same time its also getting boring to watch cricket. In fact I think its really interesting to watch different sports,if they're aired properly on different channels.

Bhajji could have post-ponned NZ innings by some mediocre bowling.
