After that humiliating 8-0 washout this win helped by some ‘deadly’ spin bowling and catching would bring some cheer and relief to the demoralized Indian TEST side. It is a Pujara-Ashwin dominated TEST which ended on an expected lines against a weak Kiwi side. As it is Kiwis are no great players of spin but couple of LBW decisions hastened their end. Umpiring was bot bad but the fact remains Kiwis didn't get the 'benefit of doubts' which they should have got on close LBW calls. They should not suffer on this account at least in Bangalore. Indian batting, as expected it was the young guns who fired with Sachin flunking for the 8 1=9th time in a row. The opening woes continue although Sehwag did give a breezy start. Besides, ever reliable Virat Kohli and Captain cool too chipped in but it was Pujara who passed the 'Wall' test with commensurate ease. In fact Dravid would always look 'Tense' but this young man in comparison looked totally composed and gave the much needed stability to the innings with ease when the seniors failed. Assuming Sehwag and Sachin would get back their form, Sehwag, Gambhir,Pujara,Sachin,Kohli and Dhoni appear to be the core of batting line up of 6 batsman for the coming one or two yrs. A Rahane for the opening slot and Raina,Badrinath or some other youngsters (U Chand ?) will be perhaps vying for the 7th spot. In bowling, other than Ashwin, Ojha and Umesh it is ‘fill-in’ the blanks.
The match was uneven given a great innings by Cheteshwar and we end up giving Ashwin the MoM award inpsite of this being a performance on Indian pitches against a weak NZ batting line up. If this is not due to Srikanth's and the BCCI top guy Srinivasan (of India cement) influence then what is it? Shame on Ashwin to accept the award.

It's high time for him to hang the boots. There's enough of talent in the team. Of course, he may be great player, but need to give break to the youngsters.

End of the day they won. They did not win by cheating. Some of the umprires decisions could be the other way, but it happens in cricket and it happend to us too. Not to make a big noise out of nothing.

Don't be jealous of players from CSK, when the team wins celebrate it. Congrats Ashwin and Pujara.
