NZ Follow-on
by siva kumar on Aug 25, 2012 12:57 PM

So, as predicted by Ashwin NZ are following-on and Ashwin has taken Six wickets. For those who are criticizing his perceived "big" mouth - please understand that it is not his own proclamation. During test matches, end of each day, one designated team member from both the teams will address the media - yday Ashwin represented India and Jeetan represented NZ. Today there might be another set. So it has nothing to do with individual, they represent the team thats all.

Growp guyz.

Instead of doing petty fights and bad mouthing the people whom we dont know - just enjoy their game - if there are issues with their game, try to give unbiased opinion, rather than giving comments like - he is bad, he is good for nothing etc... It just shows our ignorance.

Being lions at home is enough for Aswin to start bragging.
India winning the world cup at home is considered as a great achievement by Indian fans since they know India cannot win WC outside home.

Chetan Bhagat is absolutely right when he compared cricket with opium.

Lazy cricket is the equivalent of soap masala serials in the sportsworld.

The match will be over on Saturday
by Gurjot Singh on Aug 25, 2012 12:00 AM

NZ will follow on and the match will be over in 3 days.
However, Dhoni should elect to bat and scrore 250 plus and declare with 5 overs to spare and get 2 or 3 quick wickets. That way NZ will be demoralized more than if they follow on.

This is what I hate with these players. Take 3-4 wickets suddenly they start making big speeches. We have seen how this bowler was bowling in England & Australia. He is a below ordinary performer hyped by his guardian Shrikkant. Amit Mishra was good in bat & ball but he was ignored for this series to accomodate this uselss spinner.

I find unfair criticism of Ashwin. He has been consistently performing well both with ball and bat. Your problem is you like people from your state or region, but you cannot digest the fact that players from south also do well on the field as well as their opinion in the press conference.

why ashwin
by bhaskar on Aug 24, 2012 10:21 PM

Let Tendulkar say this , he has just started to bowl and want to take some wickets. He is a complete player who wants to play the next test at any cost ie., batting at any cost.
I hope Newzealand playout the day tomorrow courtesy tendulkar and India have to bat once again and Tendulkar opens the innings this time around. Tendulkar is a match winner he need to proove his batting skills against the new zealand minnows at any cost.
