M Dhoni we have seen what sachin did in aus and eng conditions and his contribution in the whitewashes....so according to sachin is fit to score only against 3rd grad wi attack and not against good bowlers and on pitches assisting bowlers....very well said...

dear demon, if you r trying to compare strauss, cook, kp with sachin tendulkar with records in pitches of ENG/AUS/SA then it is like comparing 4 year indian child with an 4 year english child and asking why this indian child is not able to speak english so fluently like english child? Good collection. However, with all these superlatives Team India became World No. 1 only with the youngsters now. That goes to show that the youngsters then floundered just when it mattered most and youngsters now make themselves count when it matters most.

just check how many tests and odis wins players like sahcin, dravid, laxman, ganguly bhajjji have been part of and check how many wins and losses in tests and odis players like dhoni, gambhir, kohli, praveen kumar, ishant, ojha etc. have been...the stats will be real eye-opener for people like you...

Now money they get is huge why should they worry about playing for country. IPL they fall and get dollar and injures again come back in test and onedayers fully fit for flop show and back into IPL for dollars. Crazy senior team members.

We need young legs who can also run, stop and stay longer in the field. They should be part time bowlers as well. Laxman was hardly able to run and Dravid was dropping important catches as well. So you need other qualities as well. Dhoni's philosophy is to have an all-round team - may not be exceptional in one - because cricket is multi-discipline game. If someone drops an important catch and that person scores 200 runs than howsoever good batsman that person might be, will never be able to compensate for the dropped catch. So good field is definitely worth 30-40 runs on average so if he contributes 40-50 runs only than you can add run saves, run-outs and catches to the total as well.

Even in the Lankan series we saw that the mainline Indian bowlers were not given their full quota of 10 overs, but Rohit Sharma was given the ball. On what basis?? Dhoni wants hischamchas in the team, we dont have a problem with that as long as they perform consistently.
