Yuvi's Comeback
by Sridhar Nagarajan on Aug 10, 2012 07:42 PM

In my opinion it should be left to yuvi. After what he has done for India inthe T20 & ODI worldcups.. If he thinks that he is match fit and ready to make a comeback, we should respect the decision and let him play for India.

Yuvi is real Hero
by jatin on Aug 10, 2012 07:29 PM

there is long list of matches which India has won only because of great preformances of Yuvi...still this man is very calm and devoted...and not looking for credit or cheap publicity

Being diagnosed with cancer and then going through painful treatment can be mentally devastating. Plus the skeptics and critics are always ready to laugh you off. So kudos to Yuvi for attempting a comeback. That said, it still seems a bit hurried. Maybe a few matches in domestic cricket would have help build Yuvi's confidence.

Yuvaraj's selection is symbolic of India's malady. No wonder dynastic corrupt Congress has been winning elections.

Yuvi is a great ODI / T20 player. I just hope he has fully recovered from his sickness. If he has... it will be like a Yuvi reborn... and we'll have some more of that six sixes off six... yes please :) Welcome back Shera,ChukDeFutey,

overhyped player

yuvraj is a overhyped player. everybody knows the world up was won due to heroics of dhoni and this player is taking credit for it. yuvraj is rahul gandhi of cricket all hyp no perfomance. the cancer he was suffering was in first stage and there was no need to go to america. instead of him yong and talented badri should be selected

yuvraj was the man of the series. Dhoni was successful only in the final, not in any other match

just because dhoni did not get chance to bat longer in the earlier matches...due to top order being successful, or small run chases etc. it does not mean that dhoni was a failure in other matches...

one silly fan even went so far as to say that dhoni failed against BD, when the truth is he did not get to bat in that match...

whats the hurry
by Think Again on Aug 10, 2012 06:24 PM  | Hide replies

Whats the hurry to bring him back in to team. There is no question of how good Yuvraj has been ,yes he has won worldcup for India. But it makes no sense to bring him back in hurry and make the world know " He is back"..its time we take sensible decisions, let him play few matches. He might still score 50s in the world cup and prove selectors were correct but it makes no sense.Give him time to recover,we are not one man team...

It is not for us to decide on his ability to take the pressure just after such a long treatment. The feeling is mixed & certainly a matter of concern if he is taken without being match fit.Selectors must ensure that he does not suffer any damage in his anxiety to play ASAP which was apparent with his daily media interaction even when under treatment. It seems that Yuvraj wants to remain in limelight even at the cost of his health.

WHAT A SELECTION COMMITTEE
by psbrao on Aug 10, 2012 05:37 PM

What to expect from the Selection committee? They should take a decision only on merit base not on track record of a player. What was the hurry to include a player who is not 100% fit both physically and mentally in world cup team. They should at least give the player time to recover. They will spoil the career of a great player. Anyway all the best to the team
