the only good selection point to b discussed abt the team. the other being rahane. pujara, kohli, manoj tiwari, rahane, r the new strong contenders to cement their place n pillars of future ckt team.
but please remove rohit, jadeja like dirty players from the next line of team.
But I do not find any reason why anyone else like Pujara or Kohli cannot become a legend ? And why they cannot be a true replacement for Dravid , if given ample chances . Dravid become a legend because 14 yrs back he got good chances on debut due to retirement of may be Azar or Prabhakar. Had they continued Rahul would have never achieved what he has . Its a cycle . Definately new comers can become LEGENDS one day .

why r u wasting your time then, writing such a big comment, which 8 out 10 will not bother to read fully..
NO ONE IN THE WORLD CAN REPLACE THE THE WALL. HE IS A LEGEND. THE GREAT WARRIOR.. DON'T COMPARE ANY ONE WITH HIM. HE IS ONE OF THE BEST CRICKETER......
Most of the guys selected, and likely to get a chance to play, are Dhoni's boys. A few like Sehwag and Gambhir he can not keep out, but otherwise team selections are made as per his whim. He also ensures that promising guys from East Zone are not considered so that he can not be accused of parochialism. So Tiwary, Dinda and Saha are dropped even after performing solidly in the limited opportunities they get. Also maybe their bums are not so tasty. Chawla's is, so he comes back from nowhere. Chawla's and Ishant's selection also keeps the North Zone lobby happy. There is no east zone lobby. The East Zone representative is a southie bootlicker who has not nothing for the zone during his tenure. Tiwary and Dinda have been selected for the T20 squad, but one doubts if they will get even one game between them. Then they will be dropped.

No.1 - There is no guarantee that you will play in the final 11, just because your shortlisted.
No.2 - There is nothing wrong in captain having a say in the team he wants to lead. Ultimately he is responsible for win or loss. Everywhere that is the case. So I do not understand why you are disappointed.
No.3 - I guess Tiwary is certain to play in place of Rohit, with the promise he had shown in the recent SL tour. So need to worry interms of representation from East.
No.4 Ashok Tinda not selected & Ishanth selected. I am worried that neither Yadav nor Varun was picked. They are genuine test fast bowlers to support Zak. Ishanth has just recovered and playing him in Indian conditions will be like wasting one slot in the playing 11. He is not going to contribute. And Dinda is definitely is a shorter duration bowler so he is best for ODIs and T20s.
My guess is that with this kind of bowling setup, we will find it difficult to win any matches.

Only issue is that Mr. Dhoni may excercise his right as captain bt he is nt accountable for his defeat. Under him India saw the wrost ever performance of losing 0-8 and also nt able to clean sweep against windies. He should have stepped down from captaincy and some one like Gambhir should have taken over the test captaincy.

ashok kumar. tiwari has shown talent within a couple of matches that he got the chance. but had he failed in those, what wud hv been his fate?
considerthis with rohit, who was given numerous chances, n still getting it without having any success. compare his casewith all other deserving players, like rahane, pujara, badri, etc.

Ashok Kumar, how dare you blame the captain for the loss. He is only responsible for our victories, it is all the other players who are the reason for our loss. Ask Vaidya/Demons. They will educate you.
A player gets selected for his ability. But it is strange to call a player at the time of selection as replacment for a great player."Incredible India" or "it happens only in India.'

Amongst all the available players in the national circuit, Badri looks as the most malnutritioned cricketer.

Badrinath .... ample chances? Pls compare the chances provided to Kaif, Uthappa, Rohit Sharma (gr8 talent but lost his way) and Hrishikesh Kanitkar and then talk! Agreed if u talk the same about Murali Vijay and Dinesh Karthik!
