Great Job by the author to bring out the point that just one over determines the fate of a 0-20 match. In most of the cases above the team that bats first hits 25 odd extra runs during the burst in the final two overs and the team that chases just falls short by as many runs!

IPL captains should have to handle the last 3-4 overs of the game very very carefully and may have to come out with strategies that saves / wins for them.

The key is to not let the batsmen go on rampage. 10-12 runs is fine but anything above would prove costly during the chase!

The title

appeared to promise that the report will be about the IPL's fast dwindling appeal with cricket fans and the thinning attendances at IPL match venues (not to mention the dive TRP ratings must have been taking in recent weeks).

That promise indeed had to be far fetched, as the Indian corporate media is very much a collusive partner in the immense vested interest that the IPL and the laboured world of make believe surrounding it is !!

Absolutely! The editors are also giving such misleading titles to ensure additional hits, purely for commercial reasons.

Mainstream media will never be keen on the closure of IPL.

Why are bowlers playing, per haps they are getting money. All bowlers should boycott, let them play with bowling machines. Bowlers should boycott all matches playied in India, Pakistan, Srilanka

Loser.. what about bangalore's win against Pune?? Was it fixed when Gayle and AB turned the match unbelievably? Not to forget Nehra's last over..Not only cricket, every international event gets fixed to some extent..but just because your favourite team loses or the team you did not like wins unbelievably does not mean it is fixed..just enjoy the thrill and have fun. NOne of us will know whether a match is fixed or not..so relax and watch cricket for time pass and entertainment. In case the team you support wins the tournament then have some extra fun and party..don't blabber here..
