i think this calls for some charity or donation by good people...sad to know about sachin's financial state...

i think we can donate 1 rupee each...with our country men support sachin can soon become a billionaire...and BR can be easily bought then...no problem...

enough of ganguly
by madhusoodan on Apr 20, 2012 12:23 PM  | Hide replies

when ganguly was batting against ashwin dhoni kept teasing silly point fielding position. which shows how they estimate ganguly's ability. they know ganguly doesn't bat well, doesn't run well. also they took easy runs when ball went towards ganguly they know he doesn't field well. ganguly's captaincy also failed in giving the death over to suitable person, last time Nehra's over went for 21 and this time samuels went for 18. when dhoni is batting giving a last over to spinner is bad decision, which reflected in thier loss.

It is foreign players league
by pradeep agarwal on Apr 20, 2012 12:00 PM

The isolated case of rahane, every other inning or bowling performance is by player of foreign origin. How than are we as a country going to benefit from this game that has produced base ball cricketers of the likes of Yusuf & Jadeja who are complete flop in ODI & test cricket

Australian attitude really commendable,in that test match vs WI
by Rajan S on Apr 20, 2012 11:37 AM  | Hide replies

The Australians, risked a loss while going for a win in their test match played against the windies which concluded yesterday. The match ultimately ended in a draw. But i would like our cricketers to adopt the same attitude while playing test cricket. We would appreciate them if they try for a win even risking a loss rather than playing dull draws one after the other. It is right that we are being whitewashed these days in test cricket. But when we get an upper hand in a series say for eg: 3 or 4 match series, we are quite satisfied in winning that series 1-0 rather than going fora 3-0 or 4-0 win. If we take the head to head statistics, almost all test playing nations have a better record against us not only in test cricket but even in odi's, except for say a bangladesh or to an extent srilanka ( Only because we had notched up some easy wins against the lankans when they were minnows in cricket. After that the contest had been fairly equal, may be slightly in favour of us). So we should grab those chances to go for a 3-0 or 4-0 clean sweeps, if we are playing good cricket and are having an upper hand over the opposition in that series. At least for the sake of bettering these humiliating head to head records!!!

Rain surely played spoilsport consdering the aggressive intent from both teams. It was heartening to see both trying hard to achieve a decisive result . f.ex. immediately after lunch , the first ball hussey faced he smote deonarine for a six , and followed it with a four later in the same over. The intent was clear-- to put as many on the board as possible and grab 10 windies wkts for the remaining of 2nd session and full 3rd (when they put windies to bat, they had 59 full overs to grab those wkts)

however, turns out it was not just aust. who wanted to win, but Windies also wanted to win, amazingly they were going for the target (215) runs , with sammy hitting 5 boundaries (4 fours and 1 six) in his innings of 30, with bravo supporting him well. they were 53/2 after 11 overs.

Now contrast this with india vs windies final test at dominica how india went for a tame draw..content with winning series 1-0 , that ind didn't even bat..just called it quits...

Is it sacrosanct that Hussey should be played at any cost? If he does not play heaven is not going to fall down. Batting is okay for csk only bowlers lets them down on couple of occasion.
