Mindless discussion

The swagger which FF and Sm are talking about in great lengths was, in fact given a warning for flouting the rules of cricket. What's the point in comparing Sachin to someone who is trying to play baseball on a cricket field!! and for the sake of argument, some people are going GAGA over it!!

I think FF is bored with watching Cricket and should watch some other game and SM's whole knowledge and information comes from these discussions on rediff, he does not care to look anywhere beyond rediff blogs and reports

swagger doesnt amount to switch hits alone my friend. it is the manner in which you take apart a bowling attack. looks as if you are one of those self righteous individuals who decides to suddenly put his pathetic point across just because he felt like taking a break from whatever miserable activity he was indulging in and decided to head over to rediff to puke out pearls of wisdom.
talk about cricket and feel free to criticize, but the moment you attack an individual rather than the argument, you will not find me short of choise words too.

"Attacking Individual rather than the argument", is eggjactly what Bronze Money does all the time to prove a certain individual is bad and selfish whilst the arguments apply to many other batsmen. ;-)

Infact I was waiting for your comments. The way you said Kevin's swagger, it did seem like his is the way cricket should be played. And if I say that you have become bored of cricket, does it in anyway means demeaning or an insult?? Maybe you are actually bored of cricket and looking for some fresh infusion of shots or shot selection. Nothing wrong if you want that. Do not take it personally. But then i did make a personal comment for SM as you will yourself feel so once you start interacting with him more.. Anyway no hard feelings and Kevin does not have class, so let him be arrogant and full of swagger

the 175 was a good knock. one of the rare occassions when he batted unburdened. dont remember 136 against SL. the 200 and 163 were on flat as a road pitches where run scoring would have been easy even for a number 11.

My point is how often he scored century for a winning cause and in that case Sachin is best considering a winning century in each of 13.2 matches.:)

Aluminium money, I dont say Aus have weakest bowling attack. My point is whenever Sachin scores a century and India loses why is he referred as selfish?? Out of his 100 centuries India lost 25 times, 11 in tests and 14 in ODI's. In tests we lost 4 times against SA (3 away, 1 home), 4 times against Aus (3 away, 1 home), 1 Eng (away), 1 Pak (home) and 1 against NZ (away). In all these matches it was not the fault of Sachin but it was other batsmen or bowlers who dint perform to expectations and still Sachin is being blamed for these losses. In oDI's also his strike rate had been more than 95 in most of the matches we lost. Then what is the basis to held him responsible for these losses??

Aluminium money, You are asking me the question to which I gave you the answer. Between in 462 ODI's, we won 33 times and tied 2 times when he scored century, so ignoring his 14 centuries gives us one winning or match saving century in each of 13.2 matches and for Ricky ponting (second highest in list) has scored a winning century in each of his 15 innings (375/(30-5)). SO even if we ignore his 14 centuries he is better than the second highest scorer and many others. Now please dont say Ponting is not a match winner.:)

Sahukar for u

Sachin Tendulkarâs contemporaries from World.

1. Brian Lara: 19 ODI Centuries, 16 times West Indies won. Winning
percentage of centuries is 84.21
2. Sanath Jayasuriya: 28 ODI centuries, 24 times Srilanka won. Winning
percentage of centuries is 85.71
3. Saeed Anwar: 20 ODI centuries, 16 times Pakistan won. Winning
percentage of centuries is 80.00
4. Mohammad Yousuf: 15 ODI centuries, 14 times Pakistan. Winning
percentage of centuries is 93.33. Only his first century was in losing
cause in 1998 against Australia and since then his all 14 centuries
were match-winning.
5. Mahela Jaywardene: 15ODI Centuries, 14 times he was on winning
end; all match winning centuries. Winning percentage of centuries more than 93.
6. Nathan Astle: 16 ODI Centuries, 14 times New Zealand won. Winning
percentage of centuries is 87.5

Now all the above players belong to average ODI Teams in last 20 odd years, there is no one from South Africa or Australia, yet all the batsmen maintain higher winning percentage of centuries than Sachin Tendulkarâs 67%.This clearly suggests that âQuality is always better than Quantityâ. Even Younis Khanâs all 6 ODI centuries have been match winning.

Sachin Tendulkarâs Test centuries.

The sad story isnât restricted to just ODI Cricket, it gets even worse when it comes to Test Cricket where India is the number one team right now. Out of his 51 Test centuries; only 20 times India won, 11 times India lost and 20 times it was drawn.

Sachin Tendulkarâs winning percentage of centuries in Test Cricket is only 39.21. And if we exclude his 8 centuries against Zimbabwe and Bangladesh then, out of his 43 Test centuries, only 14 times India
