well irfan 'phoenix' pathan was hyped like anything ... also where is the other pathan, may have opened a saloon I guess, no sign of him at all.
The test aspirants in India should not opt to play IPL as it destroys their talent and brings them a feeling that they are unfit to play cricket. Sachin, Dravid, Ganguly, Laxman, Zahir, Harbajan, Kumble who played IPL lost their Test form and India suffered in the past. Now talented players like Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara, Rohit Sharma and Ashwin will ruin their future by playing in this years IPL

Even an ordinary cricket lover can predict like this. but cricket is a funny game. Ultimately on the day of final if you find skippers of Pune Warriers and Deccan Chargers go out to toss it won't be surprising.
This will ruin Indian cricket...the effect is already seen in dismal Eng and Aus tours. IPL is a waste of time and in the name of entertainment, is killing Cricket. While it may be gving loads of money to the cricketers, it's not a tournament, which can be used as a talent search. I already see so many people forgetting the recent debacles and looking forward to IPL with eagerness and excitement. The fan in me says: "Don't support IPL". Humble request to all fans to do the same.

I agree with you. Our superstars can hit sixes here but will play like rabbits in Australia and England
