that mean a bowler can bowl with two balls instead of one. also batsman have liberty to hit one ball four six and other one for four. that means in an over 60 runs. fantasistic strategy. but who will hit indinan dont have guts to do that if there is chris gayle, brendon macclum or shane watson. totally confused. if this ball hit stupms means batsman and opposite side runner will be out. also an opportunity for bowler to take two wickets in a ball hahahahaha
This willful obstruction of the field is going to create plenty of subjective decisions by the umpires, as it is not clear if the 3rd umpire could be consulted before arriving at the decision. A field umpire is not always at the best position to adjust in these cases. And again, what is obstruction? Is coming in the way of the ball thrown at the stumps an obstruction? I guess that would be too stupid. We need more clarity on this rule.

My apologies. The article does mention that the 3rd umpire could be consulted, Nevertheless, the England tour shows that the 3rd umpire also couldn't be trusted. So the subjectivity would still remain.

when did you last find tendulkar playing with a runner? In all the matches I have seen in his entire career, not a single instance of him playing with the runner. And he is such an elite player, the umpires would always pay special attention to any of the opposition's move to injure him thru' the fielders. (Of course a bowler can always try to hurt him with his bowling).

The match will start with new balls from both ends.... At the end of the match(in case the entire 50 overs are bowled, both the balls wud have been in use for 25 overs each. This was mentioned in a previous article.
