Mr. Satya Harinarayanan, Please dont be so uncharitable! Remember the great service the turbanator has done for Indian Cricket. And just now, after he recovered from injuries, he has captained Mumbai Indians and has done well with ball and bat in the IPL. MI have 5 points and are leading the group, while CSK has only 2 points, with Dhoni as Captain. England-Insdia play one T20 after they finish 5 ODI's. T20 league will be over soon and depending on Bhajji's performance leading MI, the selectors could re-think about including him in T20 team against England. No, doubt he is a good finisher with bat at T20's death overs!!

Santosh, please understand the sarcasm of Arvin. He is sarcastically comment on the way some "noble secular souls" have been doing that it is not a balanced team because muslims are not selected.

Good Selection

I agree team is inexperienced But I also understand that pain of Arv singh and his cricketing knowledge. It is great to see harbhjan is left out which is good for him . The arrogant bowler need to understand the importance of performance where in past because of his financial relationship with Dhoni ( as both are business partner) played since last two years . Ashwin was highest wicket taker in ODI matches now time has to come to introduce him in test eleven . Rahul will be find of this tour as whoever watched him said that he is fantastic spinner. Well about Vinay kumar if senior player bhaaji can play without any performance for two years then newcomer like him should be tested at least for one more series. Umesh yadav and varun has to be play to add some fire as it will be prove lesson to upcoming seamer to bowl fast to get noticed. I delighted to see the newcomer in the team . But certainly RP should have played as he was getting his rhytem back and look sharp in last two ODI . Good to see half fit Ashish nehra left out

I support exclusion of Harbhajan until he gets his performance back. RP Singh never had any real talent and has always been mediocre.

Don't know what keeps players like Vinay Kumar, M. Vijay, Abhinav, and Agarkars in the team despite poor performance. They must know some 'Amma' or 'Anna' that the other talented youngsters in Indian don't have.

Selectors are taking a big risk by bringing all inexperienced bowlers at the same time. They will be up against an experienced and talented England batting order. Home crowds will not appreciate poor performance by Indians.

just don't talk for the 5hit of talking.... and don't compare agarkar with anyone u mentioned above... he was given equal no of chances as baji... and both failed...

coming to abhinav... he atleast scored a 100 in a first class match... only player to have a 3 digit score apart from dravid... and he didn't even play more than 5 tests and u r already dismissing him... dhoni brought sewag in for the 3 and 4 test.... how much did sewag score??? he got a pair of golden duck in 3 test... or how much did he score in the series?

ur attitude sacks big time and u just want to vent ur anger against the southern states.... if ur guys from ur state sack big time... it's not the problem with other state players... u show a frog in the well mentality... get lost u loser... u and ur state will never grow...

Six out of seven bowlers inexperienced
by Arv Singh on Sep 30, 2011 05:48 PM  | Hide replies

The selectors have picked a very inexperienced bowling attack. With the exception of Praveen Kumar, rest have almost no experience bowling at international level (IPL not counted0.

Let's look at some of the fresh bowling talent on display here:

Varun Aaron: Fast but no control and trick up his sleeve. He debuted against Leicester shire with figures of (3-0-34-11.33). No wonder MSD was hesitant to try him again for the rest of the tour.

S. Aravind: I watched him today against KKR and he bowled poorly on his home track. His bowling average was poorer than Arun with (3-0-34-12.33)

Vinay Kumar: Another player from South India propped up thanks to Sri-nivasan and Sri-kanth but lacks the talent to be in the team. Very mediocre average from last game(6.2-1-42-6.63).

R Ashwin: Inexperienced but I do like his approach and he may be turn out to be a good find. Handy with bat too.

Rahul Sharma: I hope he was selected on his talent and not just on his height or name 'Rahul'.

Umesh Yadav: He was tried against Zimbabwe and did not impress with figures of(22-1-129-5.86) after three ODIs. What makes the selectors think he will do better against top performing England team?

Well, Dhoni, be prepared as you may need to bowl again.

Aaj bhajji nahi chal raha toh woh arrogant ho gaya
by Akshay Mehta on Sep 30, 2011 12:01 PM

Bacho kab tak bornvita waala doodh peete rahoge, agar bhajji nahi chal raha toh woh arrogant ho gaya...........pehle yeh socho ki agar tum log kisi company mein kaam karte ho n agar tum log bhi perform nahi karoge toh tum bhi nikaal diye jaoge, iska matlab yeh nahi hoga ki you are arrogant..........be mature & think positive.Everybody in this world want to perform whether its sports or your work place, bhajji apni marzi se perform nahi kar raha, uspe pressure itna daaldiya gaya tha ki uski saari performs hi kharaab ho gayi,so think positive & arrogant bolne se pehle khud koh dekhlo ki how u people are.
