is someone off the meds today? its time for your medication honey. You seem to be really deluded asking the stupidest question.
People buy land and build houses or buy estates and renovate it.

Everytime anyone talks about money, most of the guys go off on a rant. What's the problem? Is playing for money is an issue? His life as a cricketer is only 10 to 15 years and he needs to mint as much as he can and then for rest of his or her life they need to live off of that. So I don't see any issue in that.
On the other side, i think he way overpaid for the piece of land, 38 crores for the land, bad deal I think.

Agree - had great respect for him as a cricketer adn sprotsman, but sorry to say, attitude showed when the customs duty was evaded for no real reason.
If he is so generous to give up his 'sportsman' quota flat in Bandra W, what was 80 lakhs in his multi-crore pa earnings?

He is a great sportsperson but should have surrendered the flat in quota long time back.He has this problem of being stingy which was commented upon by Thakre.

Surrendered before and put family on Streets..?? Get life dude...There are many politicians who r X ministers and yet not surrendered their bunglows yet... Stingy from ones perspective might be smart from others...depends how u look at things

Ok Get educated Mohnu...Seems u read only half stories. He did not evade anything. Indian Customs have such provision(exemptions of gift taxes depending on situation ) He merely tried to utilise it..Thats called Smart..If u have him "being smart" I totally understand it...lol

utter non-sense. everyone does take his/her mother to show the new house. wouldn't you do that? this is just a normal act. i don't understand what is so touching in something everyone normally does.
