Perhaps the biggest casualty of Cricketing talent in last 2 decades. But Vinod would also have to take the responsibility partially if not completely as it is also co-owned by his misfortune. He forgot to get sincere and matured with age and always been in news for wrong reasons. Then prolonged leg injury in later half of his career did it all over for him. But still I was expecting him to stand tall again after all this. But he committed a decision making error once again by expecting comeback in most professional domestic circuit (Mumbai) of Indian Cricket. He would have rather tried to represent some other relatively inferior states like his comrades Amol Muzumdar, Bhavin Thakkar, Nishidh Shetty and Sairaj Bahutule. Who knows few decent performances there could have atleast earned him a place in some IPL franchise and he would have got an opportunity to sign off in style. Anyways hope he gets a better career now as a Cricket analyst, administrator or coach. Internationalized domestic Cricket (IPL and CLT20) these days have now opened so many horizons for former Cricketers to stick with the game in some or the other way and make good money.

Some talented cricketers are dumped without reason eg :- Sadanand vishwanath,L sivaramakrishnan,Vinod Kambli etc......they should have played in todays era where off field arrogance of players like Yuvraj singh,Harbajan singh have been ignored.......sad different rules for different induviduals.........Vinod Kambli was real talent gone waste.all the best Vinod.
People forget when they succede initially - the reasons Desire ,Dedication , determination and finally discipline . Whatever we read from papers - this cricketers after initial success has takn it in to his head and has least amount of discipline .If he comes out honestly may be it will be good for youngsters - particularly those who become rich overnight with IPL .Talent was when we saw initally he had enormous talent and had grace of left hander .
Extraordinary talent, but unfortunately could not utilise to full potential due to lack of discipline both on and off the field. Tried his hands on too many things at a time without much success. But average both in Test and First class cricket indicates Kambli was a good left handed player who missed opportunities thrown at him.
