No sachins inning in Wisden top 100 innings while Brian Lara got 2 innings in Top 10.When Wisden was asked this question they said there is no place for personal records or efforts in loosing cause in this list.Secondly Sachin got 14 Man of Match in 181 matches while mostly playing on dead and flat pitches,Whereas Kallis got 22 Man of Match in 145 Matches Only While mostly playing in Swing friendly conditions.I am bit Confused.Is Sachin a True MatchWinner?

Good question while isnt it an assumption that all kallis MOM came in swing friendly conditions. However pl also consider that a player plays best in conditions that is home to him.

Silver Mani, only with partnerships a team can win matches. If Sachin played and rest failed, u cant blame Sachin for not carrying India to victory. I am not telling Sachin is god or anything. It is only because Kallis has better team support than Sachin.

Well said... Not only partnership on the other end, you also need a good bowling attack. How can you win any match without getting 10 wickets of opposition... This is not Sachin's fault...

Sachin's matchwinning innings was some 20 years ago in Sharjah against Australia, Drawid had one in Calcutta with Laxman These two were good at grinding away and boring the spectators. So what sohaib says is generally true , but unfortunately sohaib has been a chucker and not a bowler.

Silver Mani, even the moon has black spots on it. Sachin is unlucky if his innings arent recognized by Wisden. But when Wisden says Sachin is the 2nd best in Test Matches (1st is Don Bradman) and 2nd best ODI batsman (after Viv Richards), u tell me if Wisden is mad.
Akthar is the biggest lollya with no stamina. He could only bowl four balls and then lie flat. Useless, only a barking dog. He is only saying things about Sachin for the sake of publicity.
Miandad hit our Chetan Sharma for 6 at Sharjah and it remained in memory for long. Then Sachin UPPER CUT Shoib for 6 at Johannesburg. This will remain in our memory forever and Pakis too can never forget this hurt.

Cricket for English was laid-back relaxation and for us it was time pass but jobless found ways to make money thru fixing. We foolishly expect our cricketers to do impossible things. We have now reduced a sport to money-making machine thru easy means. It can never improve our plight.
Even though Sachin dint play well when we needed, he did what nobody could have done so regally. Nobody hit fast bowlers as Sachin has done. He hit all fast bowlers for sixes.

Jaiho Miandads Six has more impact as They Won tbe final and after that match India lost 18 Consecutive ODIs to Pakistan.
PCB it self fearing from Akhtar's action... Shoib Akhtar wanted to show that only one Man is good in cricket world and rest of the people are fearing from him....hmm!!!
