india can be no. 1 if
by rushik shah on Oct 01, 2011 01:40 PM

pace bowlers like varun aaron are given chance to perform in the whole series instead of just in one or two mathes in pathes. these guys need to be shown confidence in them for them to perform well. what india lacks in my opinion is some real pace bowling with speeds ranging from 145-150kmph which will definately trouble the english batsmen.

i even strongly feel that the leggy rahul sharma should be given chance in the playing 11 because with good line and length he also has the height advantage due to which he can get more bounce off the pitch and trouble the english batsmen.

I agree with Dravid when he says that to win matches, you need to take twenty wickets.Today we do not have the best fast or spin bowlers.Zhaheer,Bajji, etc are all on the way down.MRF Academy was producing fast bowlers but I don't know how they are doing now.
With so much of Money with BCCI why can't we lay a few bouncy wickets similar to ones in England. We can learn to play against the rising ball which was our problem in England.
The problem is we forget everything fast. Now we are having the Champions Trophy and then we will have some matches here and we may win a few matches.Take the advice of Kapil,Srinath and others.Till we again go abroad and get beaten, everything will be forgotten.

Ban Test Cricket & Save Nation from deeper Poverty&Misery

Our Team did well in ODI mateches&T20. Who cares for Tests Anyway!!! Except Dravid. Shame that we have NOT Banned the Time-wasting and poverty-producing and Monotonous Test Crciket and ALL indians and All spsonsors MUST Shout NO to Test Cricket Now.The Time-wasting
Test Cricket, 3 Day Crciket, etc was invented by crooked British
Colonizers, like inventing Mahatma gandhee, the british double agent
and non-violence to make People of Colonies
Lazy&Morrons&vegtables and POOR Forever. The ODI matches and
T20 match provided thrilling Cricket Unlike the Monotonous and Time
Wasting TEST CRICKET which has wsted Millions of man or woman hours of
our country and MADE US POORER too and this wastage of millions of
working hours has been happending for the past 50 years and MORE and
that is why we indians are 50 years behind China which does NOT have
this anti-national time-westing game of TEST CRICKET. What a shame!

i think these people are not qualified to speak about test cricket bec how can one link cricket and poverty these people have forgotten that india has won two world cups and hosted three world cup thereby generating more business and turnover and as far as test cricket is concerned its a game from whom these short version of game have evolved and is being played for more than 200 years and we should really thak the englishmen for their contribution just cricket can unite the entire india.

Were we world champions before the IPL? Dravid is right, we need to find real fast bowlers who have variety and good spinners to do well. We don't have that right now.

It is time to BAN Tests NOW.The ODI matches and
T20 match provided thrilling Cricket Unlike the Monotonous and Time
Wasting TEST CRICKET which has wsted Millions of man or woman hours of
our country and MADE US POORER too and this wastage of millions of
working hours has been happending for the past 50 years and MORE and
that is why we indians are 50 years behind China which does NOT have
this anti-national time-westing game of TEST CRICKET. What a shame that
patriotic citizens and leaders have NOT BANNED such a time-wasting game
as TEST CRICKET and NOT enacted the law which states that ONLY ODI or
short versions oc criket macthes MUST be played ONLY During Week-ends or
Holidays so that our country does NOT become another african poor
nation sooner or later. May be Anna Hazare and Patriots and
RSS&BJP&VHP cadres MUST maka National Agitation to BAN TESCT
CRicket Forever too.
