I was a watching a Test between the West Indies and India with a very young Bishen Bedi bowling to Basil Butcher. Butcher had just hit Bedi powerfully thru the covers for a few boundaries with a slightly crossbat style.
Pataudi the captain , instead of spreading out the field to stop the runs, sensed an opportunity and placed an extra man in the off side cordon. Bedi continued with the same line of bowling and a few balls later, Butcher slashed hard into the air, only to be brilliantly caught by Tiger himself over his head in the covers.
Pataudi always managed to inspire his bowlers with his attacking approach.
I always liked u as a person more because u wr pure, never ur royal status, cricketing legend status or even the connection to Bollywood.U always respected ur private world....may god bless ur soul......tiger has stopped roaring :(
I remember when He was showing prolific performance in the domestic cricket and was knocking the test cricket Doors one of the leading English News dailies probably Indian Express gave a sparkling title "THIS TIGER SHOULD NO MORE BE KEPT IN THE CAGE'
As a adolescent I grew up with the legend that he was to be, fascinated by his bold approach to batting and game, leadership and team management. In later years his personly exuded a world gone by charm, refined personlity and keenness of his thoughts and observastions. A void has been left which is unlikely to be filled. Your are right, he luckily escaped the punishment. He had killed a black deer. These rich people can buy law and escape from any sort of punishment.

some people always talks foul and when they talk it stinks, ur one of them. Atleast dont talk ill now.
May his sole rest in peace. Death is very painful to near & dear, hope god gives them enough strength to bear this great loss. Tiger Pataudi belonged to a breed to genteel & gentlemanly cricketers, a rarity today indeed!
he was arrested against non-bailable warranty for doing hunting.Till now i never heard he was in jail.may be he was good cricter but as human being he was The worst.
Some of the postings on this forum are postings of 'Sick' minds, besides they also belong to a sick and disturbed generation of T20 cricket and Bollywood, which has no class.
