see, even players are admitting that they never tried to 'Win' the world cup since it was already bought by the BCCI. it had only value of the gold or diamonds (whatever it may be made of). It doesn't have the prestige that world champions get after winning the world cup. India are fake champions. and destiny also went against india to prove this fact in england.
You can talk to press if you have acheived something yet. When the likes of Sachin, laxman and Dravid are keeping their mouth shut, whos this bloke to comment on what India did / did not etc. Ultimately, what matters is the end result and results of each performer. Unfotunately, Rediff gives so much importance to what novice cricketers feel about things that they should not be worried about. If such needless publicity is avoided, we can let all cricketers sweat out for their money like in Hockey or other games.
So the bottomline is Talent is needed to win. Without talent you cannot beat a talented team on any given day. the full world cup squad if it was available would have beaten England on any given day. Let this go. Just a bad month.. They won the World cup and thats what matters to me.

Indian Team did really well in ODIs and T20 match and They were excting matches and both could have won too. WHY BOTHER Aabout Time-wasting&Boring Test Matches??? BCCI and Indian government must BAN Test Matches to prevent wastage of millions of man or woman hours every year, making us a Poor African nation as desired and Planned by crooked british colonizers&Looters, What a Shame
the truth is that our bowling sucks big time.. reliance on zaheer.. without zaheer we would not have won the WC. time to develop good quality bowlers (pace and spin).. kick out bhajji from team and get new spinners..

completely agree with you. Bhajji is the weakest in the team at the moment and got to start with him.
Everyone knows that Indian team didn't have to try/perform so hard in the world cup. It was very much managed for them. If this world cup was not in held in India then the story would have been diffrent.

The Time-wasting Test Cricket, 3 Day Crciket,etc was invented by crooked British Colonizers, like inventing Mahatma gandhee, the british double agent and non-violence to make People of Colonies Lazy&Morrons&vegtables and POOR Forever. The ODI matches and T20 match provided thrilling Cricket Unlike the Monotonous and Time Wasting TEST CRICKET which has wsted Millions of man or woman hours of our country and MADE US POORER too and this wastage of millions of working hours has been happending for the past 50 years and MORE and that is why we indians are 50 years behind China which does NOT have this anti-national time-westing game of TEST CRICKET. What a shame that patriotic citizens and leaders have NOT BANNED such a time-wasting game as TEST CRICKET and NOT enacted the law which states that ONLY ODI or short versions oc criket macthes MUST be played ONLY During Week-ends or Holidays so that our country does NOT become another african poor nation sooner or later. May be Anna Hazare and Patriots and RSS&BJP&VHP cadres MUST maka National Agitation to BAN TESCT CRicket Forever too.
ok i ask a direct question. rediff moderator can delete it if they want. how does pakistani public and aussie and english public feels about rise of cricket in india. about india winning WC, number one test ranking, IPL and big money for young indian players with milk tooth. while experience Aussie players are losing jobs and facing hell of politics. and Pakistani are receiving death threat and doing spot fixing. And england, well, the less said is better. the home of cricket yet to win a world cup. it not just embarrassing but humiliating.
now think who is posting here against sachin, dhoni, bhajji, dravid, ganguly, or whoever has achieved something. here in rediff anybody can register an email and post anything which is in english, no hindi allowed because all hindi words are abusive

It seems that you are frustrated after debacle in England.
You seem to have little knowledge outside cricket. Cricket is everything for India (and Indians) but its just one of the many sports for most of the developed countries. So rise of India in cricket (if its really the case) does not really matter to the people of countries like England, Aus. They have many other things to be proud of. In no other country, cricketers, film actors, politicians, ... are treated like God. So think beyond cricket. This is better for you and Indian cricket as well. How its going to be better for Indian cricket? Because people are crazy about cricket so its free money for our cricketers. If people are less crazy then cricketers have to perform and sweat-out to earn money. Moreover public should utilize the precious time for some other productive purposes. This is good for India's future. Current situation (too much cricket following by public) is good only for Idnian cricket's future.

Harbhajan was saved the blushes by team managements intervention/ faking injury. It is a known fact that he turns more than the balls he bowls and is no more a better spinner than an ordinary club level cricketer. Looking at Swann bowl with vicious spin and our own spinners struggling to get any turn from the same wicket, we understand where our spinners stand. The less said about our pace attack sans Zaheer Khan , the better. England not only won, they humiliated the so called world champs! Ashwin can say whatever he wants for solace..

It is not an open secret that Pakistan are way ahead of us in match fixing, spot fixing, ball tampering, cheating, etc. That is the only pride (if at all they term it that way) Pakis can enjoy :)
