bad luck india
by sai krishna on Sep 12, 2011 03:17 PM

From the first day of the Lords test, it seems luck is not favouring our side. Look at the turn of events you can see, Zaheer Khan after taking 02 wickets was injured. India has bowl with four bowlers. Second test Harbhajan Injured and from 124 for 8 England gone up to 224. 3rd Test Sehwag out for very first ball, that decision after referral. Dravid though batted well dropped catches in crucial times . Even in West Indies he dropped Chandrapaul when he was 16 and he went on to make 130 and the test was drawn.
Above all Dhoni and Harbhajan seems to have problems regarding the Advertisement that seems to be the reason for bowling flat against England in the first test and faking muscle pull and opting out of the tour. He was fit for Champions Trophy within no time. So why Harbhajan bowled flat giving so many runs in Test Matches and not available for One dayers in think is a Misery.
In first One day they have bowled well and picket up two wickets but rain came to the rescue of England. And int the fourth one dayer also 11 runs needed for 07 balls with Broad is injured and last man in. India might have won it but again rain god gave series to England.
So my advidce is to consult an Astrologer before proceeding for a series is a better idea. Or take Brejan Daruwalla along with Indian squad.

Munaf Patel

It is sad that this bowler has been given much hype in media and in Indian team even though except in last over of yesterday when he ran Swann out & Bopara cought at deep had been useless. Yesterday it is only because of 9 runs he gave in his penultimate over England covered the deficit to hold India. The lazy way he collects the ball from the fielders at stumps when bowling and also his lethargic movements in the field are eyesores. He is unfit to be in shorter versions as he can not bat, can not field and bowls at a speed of less than 130 kmh. When he bowled a wrong line giving a boundary to Swann at crucial time Gangully aptly commented "it is sad that India allows such bowler in the team keeping in dressing room young bowler having capacity to bowl at 145 kmh.

Where is the Hype given Mr. Ramdas, we saw munaf sitting on the benches in all tests, while Dhoni have the option to go for RP or PK why do you think Dhoni still give him to Bowl.......do you think dhoni is fool......

Mr Ramdas,it is very difficult to bowl last 5 overs in 50 0vers cricket with restricted rules and the batsmen go to hot any bowlers for hit.He did not play in test cricket he has restricted the batsmen in first 5 overs and his last over resulted england losing 2 wickets made the match draw and there are other bowlers who were less economical than him.

Why are we feeling so happy with a draw? Surely the World Champs deserve convincing wins. We also need to nurture new players like jadeja and ashwin, so that in future we dont face problems due to lack of sachin and sehwag.

It was not only the last match. in fact in the First ODI we had having the upper hand...in last ODI as well and the 2nd was something like of T20 games..etc and definitely the Luck factor was not with the Indian throughout the Series. but Keeping in mind the most of Regular players ruled out in this ODI series while playing with full strength English team and gave them very tough matches, It's good for young India. Although our bowling was a bit of disappointment even the Munaf & RP were there...

Dear Reponse, RP is not our regular bowler and if you observe keenly, Munaf is a change bowler only. So, in precise, we have "not" lost the battle.

Hats off to Dhoni....
by Anurag Rathore on Sep 12, 2011 11:27 AM  | Hide replies

This man can never be demoralized. He was out of form from long time. He played some good knocks in test series under extreme pressure. Now when we have lost test series and trailing in ODI series. He still looks positive. His last two knocks in ODI series shows his mental strength. Both innings came under extreme pressure. Youngsters can learn from his fitness and running between the wicket.

Well done Dhoni. Keep it up.

I don't think any team has better players than Raina and Dhoni in middle order. They have done it so many times in ODI. Missing Yuvraj in middle order.

Its England's turn now
by Hemraj Verma on Sep 12, 2011 11:21 AM

These arrogant Englishmen are about the face the the music now. Stuart Broad injured and many more to come... I wish India had played one day matches before tests series. These may have humiliated India in their den when luck hardly went India's way. I pretty eager to see how these high quality fast bowlers like(James ANderson, Broad and Bresnen) and great spinner Gram Swan do in India. Agree that they are better than Indians but are the world's best.. I really doubt that.. Atleast, the kind of arrogance shown by Bresnen, Machael Vaughn and Nassir Hussain, English team is not really that gud. The fast bowlers have been hit all around the corner by our inexperienced youngsters.. imagine if these were in front of inform Sahwag, Gambhir, Sachin, Yuvraj .. I am sure these would look very ordinary bowlers who would find it difficult to hide their tail... Come on u arrogant English idiots.. how long u will run on ur luck.
